1. Thanksgiving Games & Crafts

Thanksgiving is at our doorstep (along with lots of kids and family members) and if you've got a Thanksgiving party or family gathering planned, you'll be in need for some cool activities to keep the young (and older) guests entertained.

No worries. Here are two great resources just off the coolest-kid-birthday-parties press and just in time…

Here's a fun-filled page brimming with the very coolest Thanksgiving games, such as a Corn Gobbling Contest, Wild Turkey Hunt, Musical Cornucopias, Roll the Gourd, Turkey Calling Contest, and on and on.

And… Because crafts are so popular during the Thanksgiving holiday, I've also compiled a list of some of the coolest Thanksgiving craft ideas, like Egg Carton Totem Poles, Indian Dream Catchers, Harvest Necklaces, Oreo Turkeys, and lots more.

Hopefully you'll enjoy these resources for many Thanksgivings to come.

By the way, did you know that if it wasn't for a case of mistaken identity, Turkeys would have probably been called Mexicos! The Spanish first found the bird in Mexico more than 400 years ago and brought it back to Europe. The English mistakenly thought it was a bird they called a "Turkey" so they gave it the same name. And it has stuck ever since.

2. Coolest Cakes

If you haven't popped by lately, you'll notice a great new section called Coolest Cakes. It's written especially for the "cookingly challenged" where you'll find lots of easy and fast birthday cake recipes, fun cupcake ideas and recipes, cake and cookie supplies, and an awesome picture album with some of the very coolest cakes-of-art.

I'd like to take this opportunity and THANK so many of you Birthdayography subscribers who have been sending me some of the coolest feedback. Keep it comin'!

Happy Thanksgiving (and if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, just have a happy day!)

All the best (and coolest),

Elad the Birthday Dad

P.S. Stay tuned for a “slay-full” of Christmas and Winter kid party ideas in the upcoming edition of Birthdayography!
