The
costumes to the left can help with igniting ideas and
below are a few general tips to boost your creative
juices.
Start
off by preparing the air packs. Take two empty 2-liter
bottles and tape them together with duct tape. You can
spray them with quick-drying silver spray. Attach straps
so your kid can wear it like a backpack.
Use
white or orange clothes (body suit, overalls, or just
white or orange pants and a shirt) and get some NASA
patches (or just take a look at these
cool patches and draw them on your own).
Have
your child decorate the airpacks and the space suite
with glow
in the dark stickers.
Take
a pair of old rain boots and color them orange. You
can also make an orange belt to fit the astronaut costume.
I'm
sure you'll be able to come up with a whole lot of other
original ideas to add to the astronaut costume. As long
as you're havin' fun, that's what's important.
