My son is 7 and we invited all of his friends as well as a few parents who were bringing their one and two-year old babies. I set up a cute wading pool for the babies, it gave them the opportunity to be in their own pool! Funny, but all of my son's 7-year-old friends loved being in the wading pool as well :-), so even if you're not having any babies attending the party, this is a nice idea for the kids.

Don't forget to write on the invitations: "don't forget to bring your bathing suits and a towel!". This is really important for a pool party. I forgot to write it, and a few kids came without towels, so make sure you have a lot of towels (even if you write on the invitations that they should bring a towel, it's also important that you arrange to have lots of extra towels!).
Have fun!!

This is a fun party prize:
Fill water balloons up with small toys (Small enough to fit!) and water, make sure they are equal, and you have enough balloons for each guest. Have several games set up to win tickets or whichever way your decide to do, and in the end whoever has the most tickets or wins gets to pick their balloon first. The most fun part is it's a total surprise!
(You can fill the balloons with plastic rings, little soldiers, anything that may fit!)
