The kids can play this activity at the beginning of the party, while waiting for all the rest of the kids to come to the party.
Use a sandbox or fill a plastic swimming pool with sand. Add a bunch of different sea shells (the ones with the little holes in them) and cover them with sand. Let the kids search for the shells and make necklaces out of them (give them string).

Children will use colored construction paper, to make a magnetic krabby patty. A light tan for the bun, green for lettuce, red for tomato, yellow or orange for cheese and brown for the burger. Write the birthday child's name and age on the top bun and his birth-date on the bottom bun. Attach a magnetic strip to the back. You can add googly eyes if you would like.

You'll need white paper plates, pencils and pictures of SpongeBob and his friends. Get the kids to sit in a circle and hand out a paper plate and pencil to each. Tell the kids to put the plates on top of their heads. Now, show a picture of SpongeBob and tell the kids to draw him (while the plates are still on their heads). Have everyone show their works of art and repeat this with the other characters.

On thick paper, I printed out backgrounds from the show (mainly the sky and the ground). Then I printed several Spongebob icons (pinapple, tiki head) available for the kids to cut out.
Using sand (snagged from the local beach), the kids coated the bottom of the scene with sand and decorated it with the icons they selected.
Each guest was also given a small star fish (available at craft stores) and a yellow "sponge" (cut into 2 inch squares). The kids then decorated the scene the way they wanted.
We live on the water, so a neighbor lent us his boat for the day. He was nice enough to dress up (as Squidward) and take the kids on a ride around the lagoon.
For favors, we gave out the usual things, but there was also a "real" starfish included.
