Even though this cake is not an edible cake, it is very handy!
I was hosting a baby shower for a good friend of mine and decided to create decorations she could actually use. So I had someone who works with crafts create the baby doll on top and the layers of the cake out of cardboard and then cover them with paper mache.
I then bought 2 packs of diapers, rolled each one of them up, tied each of them with a blue ribbon and then glued them with a glue gun around the three layers. The cake was set on its own table with a nice baby table cover and on top of it a turquoise table cover to mach the color of the baby doll's clothes.
The cake turned out so cute and everyone loved it. The best part of it is that she could actually use the diapers and nothing got thrown away! We all had a real blast, the party will definitely be remembered for many many years!
