*Slimy Eye Hunt: Place about three pounds of cooked spaghetti in a deep large pot or a cleaned out pumpkin. Color it green with food coloring and make it slimy with olive oil. Drop inside colored gumballs and one eyeball gumball (with the wrapper on). The kids have to reach in the guts and pull out gumballs until they grab the eyeball gumball. You can also use peeled grapes instead of gumballs. Another cool variation of this activity is with a large pumpkin. Cut open the pumpkin lid and loosen up the insides, removing a bit. Place coins or small plastic toys inside the pumpkin guts and have the kids reach in for their prize.

*Eye Burst: This is an awesome activity that'll send shivers down your guest's spines! Go into a dark room with the birthday child and have the kids wait outside. One by one the kids enter the room blindfolded. Take their hand and have them touch the birthday child's hair, then nose, then ears, etc. Tell them exactly what it is they are touching. When you get to the eyes, have them touch the first eye and explain that this is one eye and here's the second eye - but instead of touching the second eye, stick their finger inside a half tomato!! This often results in a high-pitched scream, which'll have the kids outside shivering… Once they're done, have the kids stay in the room so they don't reveal what all the screaming is about.

*Bob for Apples: The kids try to remove an apple from a tub full of water by biting into it - without using their hands! A cool variation of this game is to tie apples from their stems with strings coming down from the ceiling. With their hands tied behind their backs, the kids have to bite into an apple by reaching up or down with their mouths depending on the length of rope that the apple is on.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Reverse Treat Game: Prepare a list of "magic" words and a small bag of candy for each child. When a child is caught saying one of these words then they have to give up a piece of their candy. The one with the most candy wins a spooky prize.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Musical "Witch Hat": Just like musical chairs but instead you pass a witch hat around.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Pass the Pumpkin: This is a relay race where each child runs with a miniature pumpkin under their chin and has to pass it along to the next child with out using their hands.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Pin the Wart on the Witch: Need I explain?

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Pass the Head: Same as Hot Potato, but with a creepy mask.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Guess What: Take different foods and articles and place them in bowls behind a curtain on a table (or in a dark room). The kids have to stick their hands in the food and guess what it really is. Before each food sample, tell the kid what they are about to feel. For example: Witch's eyeballs (peeled grapes), Witch's brains (cooked spaghetti noodles), a poor soul's guts (canned spinach that's very slimy and disgusting), Frankenstein's fingernails (slivered almonds), Blood (warm non-set Jell-O), Witch Noses (cut hot dogs), dried ears (dried apples), bat toenails (seeds), liver (slab of jell-o), teeth (Popcorn kernels). You'll get lots of "yuck!" and "gross". You can get very imaginative with this game.

*Obstacle Course: Split the group into three-four teams. The first kid dunks for an apple, then moves on to get a marshmallow out of flour using only teeth (while the flour sticks to their wet face). Then, they have to eat a doughnut hanging from a string, run back and tag the next kid in line.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Spider Web Hunt: Get a few colors of yarn and make sure there's at least one long strand per each guest (make extras). Tie one end of the yarn to a Popsicle stick and start wrapping the yarn around furniture or outside around trees, bushes, chairs, etc. You'll get a very colorful spider web. At the end of each yarn strand tie a small paper bag of Halloween toys & treats. Each kid gets one Popsicle stick and they all have to untangle the web in order to get to their goodie bag.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Slime Race: Make slime in plastic Halloween cauldrons by putting two boxes of cornstarch in each cauldron, and adding water until the consistency is slime-like (4 parts cornstarch to 1 part water). You can also add green food coloring to make it look even more authentic. Form two teams. The first kid in each group grabs some slime with his hands and runs to an empty cauldron at the other end where he glops it in, then runs back to tag the next kid in line. The first team to empty their Slime cauldron wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Marshmallow Fishing: Pair up the kids. Give one of the pair (the fisherman) a stick with a fishing line attached to it. The fishermen hold the poles while the fish attempt to bite the marshmallows. Then the fishermen switch with the fish.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Ghost Stories: Have all the kids sit in a circle. Wrap about a dozen simple trinkets and place them all in a velvet bag. Then start telling a Halloween story that has one word that you can repeat many times (for instance, "Teeny Tiny Witch" in which the word "bone" appears many times). As you tell the story, pass the velvet bag around. When the word "bone" is said, the bag stops and whoever is holding the bag takes out a wrapped trinket. This is one of the best calm down Halloween games as the kids sit and listen VERY anxiously.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Witch Relay Race: Split the kids into three or four groups. Give each group a broomstick and witch's hat. Set a race course, and let the kids fly while they holler like witches.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Eyeball Spoon Race: Split the kids again into a few groups. Give each kid a plastic spoon and ping pong ball with eyes drawn on it. The first kids in line take off with the spoons in their mouths and the ball on the spoon, run to a predetermined point and return without dropping the ball. If they drop the ball, they have to return to the starting point. Then, the next kid in line goes until the team that finishes first wins. To make it more interesting, you can add pumpkins on the ground (like orange cones) and have the kids slalom from side to side.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Fright Pictures: Lay a white sheet on the floor. It'll serve as the background for the pictures. Have each kid lie down with their hair standing straight up and photograph from above. Obviously, the longer the hair, the better the pictures. This is also one of the best ideas for thank you cards.

*Costume Fashion Show and Contest: Set up a runway and have the kids strut their costumes as if they were real models doing the walk. Play a fun Halloween CD, and prepare certificates for the different categories (Most Beautiful, Scariest, Silliest, etc.) and hand out the awards with a lot of fanfare. If the party is for young children, make sure to create enough categories so that each child receives an award.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Build A Scarecrow: Form groups and have a variety of old clothes, pillowcases for heads, markers and newspaper. Groups have 20 minutes to create their scarecrow. Give prizes to the scariest, funnies, etc and place outside.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Balloon Sweep: Divide children into teams. Set up a course for them to race through. The children need to run relays sweeping the balloon along the course and back to their team. First team to finish the course wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Doughnut Ghosts: Pair up the kids. Tie a powder sugar doughnut to a string and then to the waist of one of the pair so that it's dangling like a ghost between their legs. Then have their couple lie beneath and try to eat the doughnut without the use of hands. The pair that finishes first, wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Candy Corn Catch: Divide the kids into two teams. Tie a plastic pumpkin around the waist of one team member from each group and have them standing a few feet across from their team members. On the word, "go" have each team toss candy corn toward their team member wearing the pumpkin. Whichever team gets the most candy in the bucket during the allotted time wins!

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Spider Web: Before the party, get two balls of black yarn and tie a plastic spider to each. Divide your guests into two teams and have them line up in a straight line. The object is to be the first team to be tied together by the "spider web". On the word "go" the first person in the line must pass the spider up one sleeve, across their chest, down the other sleeve to the next person, all the time keeping the string (and spider) in their clothing. The next person does the same thing until every team member is tied together. The first team done wins!

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Siamese Twin Relay: Divide your guests into two teams. Form twins by having two players stand back-to-back while linking their arms at the elbows. Their arms must stay linked at all times! On "Go", the first set of Siamese Twins walk to a bucket full of goodies. Each twin takes out one treat and then they return. The game continues until all twins have retrieved a prize from the bucket. The first team to finish wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Suck It Up: Place two chairs at the far end of the room and place two empty Halloween containers on the chairs. Divide your guests into two teams and line them up in straight lines. Give everyone a straw and a witch, ghost, or other Halloween eraser. The first person in each line places the straw in their mouth and sucks in so that the ghost eraser sticks to the end. While continuing to suck in, they walk to the chair and drop their ghost into the container. They run back to the line and the next person goes. First team to finish wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Mummy Wrap: Divide the guests into groups of three or four. Give each team one roll of toilet paper (cheap toilet paper tears too easily, so use a name brand). One kid in each group is the mummy. When you say "go" the other team members wrap him/her up as fast as they can. First team to finish wins.

-- Coolest Kid Halloween Games --

*Flaming Eyes: Keep a few half eggshells (used for the cake, etc.). Put a sugar cube in each shell and pour a little lemon extract on the sugar. Then dim the lights and light the eyes. Everyone will be amazed by the flaming eyes.

Some more fun Halloween games and activities can include Fortune Telling and a fun hayride.
