Marco Polo - Pool Party Game

Now, Who hasn't heard of Marco-Polo?

This is a traditional pool game in which the person who is it (or Marco) closes their eyes and shouts "Marco!". The people who are not it must try to avoid Marco but at the same time, reveal where they are by replying "Polo!" each time Marco shouts.

When a person comes out of the water (little extra rule...) they must shout "Polo!" as soon as thy catch their breath.

Marco may NOT have goggles on at ANY time, but Polos may.

Fish Out

Here's another little addition: If your'e out of the water the person in can shout "fish out of water" and whoever is out of the water is then in.
Another way of explaining how to play...

One person is "it". The "it" closes their eyes and shouts "MARCO"! (they are not allowed to cheat and open their eyes, eyes must be completely shut). The other people playing have to shout back "POLO"! The person who is "it" will try to catch the others by listening to their voices. When "it" catches someone, they are now the new "it". People are not allowed to go out of the water or they will be "it".
Cheat Proof Goggles

To make the game be more cheat proof we took some old goggles that we didn't use and painted them with black paint, then let it dry for about a day then color them with a black permanent marker and if the paint starts to chip off, just color it with a marker again and let it dry for a little while.

You can also tape black plastic to the inside of the goggles.
