Icebreaker Activities
*Face Painting: A cool football party ideas is to provide the kids with a set of face paints. Along with having them paint their own faces in their favorite team's colors, you can also hand out black face paint and have them mark two lines on their cheeks below each eye just like the pros. This party idea is a bit less messy.
*Football Painting: Provide each kid with a Nerf ball and paints and have them create their own ball of art.

Food and Cake
|
Here's a football cake pan with easy instructions.
You can sprinkle grass around the football cake by using coconut flakes tinted green (with food coloring). |
If you make a football field cake, mark the yard lines with white frosting and for the goal posts cut straws and "glue" them together with icing. To make football cookies you don't necessarily need football cookie cutters. Just take a metal can, squash it a little bit so that it creates an oval shape. Voila. A football cookie cutter. It's a great party idea to place these plastic football hats upside-down and put all kinds of treats inside. On each side of the party table put up mini goal posts made of decorated paper towel tubes, pipe cleaners or PVC tubes. You can make mini goalposts from covered or painted paper towel tubes or pipe cleaners. Cover the table with these inexpensive tissue grass mats to create "grassy" football table.
Also, on different bowls containing food you can write "SUPER BOWLS".
