Princess Invitations

If you’re interested in creating your own Princess birthday party invitations, here’s a really great idea:

Use parchment paper or cardstock and write something like: “Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Her Majesty, Princess (kid’s name) of the Royal house of (your last name) requires your presence at the magical celebration of the (*th) year of her birth, at our castle (address); date, time, RSVP to Queen and King (phone #); gowns, crowns and castles too, nothing short of a royal celebration will do!!” (If you want the kids to come in matching attire you can add “attire” in the invitation, perhaps saying “Princess Casual” or “Princess and Prince attire” or “Royal attire”).

You can change the wording so that it fits the type of party your child is having. If the party is co-ed, you can write something like “Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Princesses, Princes, Knights, and Jesters… Her Royal Highness invites you to her Royal Ball…”, etc. Also, check out these free printable princess invitations we’ve created:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="1" data-tags="371" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Princess Invitations

You can also make the invitations look old and regal by printing or writing all the party information on yellow parchment paper. Then burn the edges just a bit and use a wet tea bag to spread around the edges to darken them and give a more authentic look.

It would be best if you used a font that would fit with the Princess birthday party theme, like a calligraphy font or anything that looks royal. If you want to write the invitations with your own writing and not a computer font, you can use a gold or silver pen or thin marker.

Then roll these invitations up and either tie them with a ribbon, put a sticker to close, or if you want to really be regal, seal them with wax. You can put the scrolls in empty toilet paper rolls with a sealed bottom, and add a construction paper cone to the top as if it were part of a castle. For an added touch, you can spray-paint each toilet paper roll with silver and/or gold spray-paint.

If you don’t want to roll the invitations up, you can put each invitation in a colored envelope and you then decorate the envelope. You can add dabs of glue and sprinkle glitter, or decorate with Princess-themed stickers and/or glue on sequins all around the envelope.

If you really want to go overboard with your Princess birthday party invitations, have someone (possibly a family member or even the birthday child themselves) dress up in majestic or medieval looking attire and have them hand-deliver each invitation. They can even try and talk with majestic slang or with a suitable accent.

We’ve created this complete page full of free and original printable Princess birthday party invitations, thank-yous, and greeting cards. All you have to do is just download and print out.

Princess Decorations

You can also use Princess posters, coloring pages, and all sorts of other imagery to help you create your own homemade decorations.

The dominant colors of your Princess birthday party can be any combination from the following colors: lavender, pink, purple, white, cream-color, light blue, light yellow, gold or silver (it’s best to choose a two or three color-combination).

First, you can start with a red carpet leading to your door. This’ll really let the kids feel special. From the ceiling you can hang glittery stars from curly ribbons and colorful streamers. You can also hang these Metallic Foil Curtains in the doorway so the kids will feel like they are entering a ballroom. And, upon arrival, you can throw some sparkle glitter on the guests to get them in the mood.

You can have a sign at the entrance of the party area saying “Welcome to the Princess Castle”, “Welcome to the Enchanted Kingdom”, etc.

Hang a few triangular flags (bunting flags) from the outside of your house or of the party area. Here are flags you can print out on all kinds of colorful paper as well as gold and silver paper, then cut each flag out, and glue each flag around a wooden or plastic dowel:

Printable Flag

You can also take these flags and staple them (tip facing downwards) on a long string. Then you have a long string with lots of flags you can hang around to decorate the party area with.

If you’re really ambitious with your Princess birthday party, you can make a castle using huge cardboard boxes (two big refrigderater boxes for the two turrets on both sides of the castle and one or two huge wide boxes for the middle part of the castle). You can spray paint it gray and cut out windows. You can also make a small drawbridge and connect homemade torches to both side (you can make the torches with towel tubes and red, orange, and yellow crepe paper, twist the top of the bunched crepe paper, and have it coming out of the top of the towel tubes). For that final touch you can put a flag on a stick to the top of each turret.

Print out or make homemade family crests for a medieval feel. Here are some excellent items to decorate your castle with.

The kids can play in the castle and decorate it at the Princess birthday party. You can also use the big cardboard boxes, paint gray bricks on them and tape to the front of your house (so that it looks like the outside walls of your house are made of bricks). If you have a backyard and a sandbox or little playground, how about making the sandbox and/or playground look like a castle, the slide as a drawbridge, the sandbox as a ward, a small mini pool as a moat, etc.

Another idea that can make your Princess birthday party area super special and very fit for your Princess is to create a canopy. You can take tulle and/or fabric, pin the middle to the center of the ceiling, drape the ends down and tie to the sides of the room.

You can also print out these Princess birthday party placecards and napkin holders to place on your party table:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="275,277" data-tags="371" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Princess Placecards and Napkin Holders

On each of the placecards you can write each guest’s name by adding “Princess” or “Prince” before their name (“Princess Jenny”).

If the Princess birthday party is at night, you can line the pathway to your house with brown lunch bags half filled with sand. Put a candle inside of each. The bags glow magnificently once you light the candles (make sure you put the candle in the middle so that it doesn’t get close to burning the paper).

For an added magical touch, you can decorate with white Christmas lights. Inside, you can drape colorful plastic table covers all over the ceiling to transform your living room into a charming ballroom. In the bathroom on the mirror, you can write with a washable marker “Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the prettiest of them all?”.

Music can add a whole lot of atmosphere and mood to your child’s Princess birthday party. You can either play a CD of music from Cinderella, Snow White, Under The Sea (Ariel the Mermaid), or even classical music like Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty Suite, etc.

You can transform your dining room chairs into Princess birthday party thrones by taping gold and silver poster board onto them. Also take pink, purple, and/or white ribbon and wrap around each chair. Hang helium balloons on each of the chairs and add gold or silver tulle or ribbon around the top of each chair. You can also add a pink, purple, or white pillow with ribbon to each chair for that added touch.

Have your child’s chair be the main throne – it can be decorated with an extra Princess birthday party touch so that everyone knows it’s the birthday girl’s throne. Your little Princess can sit on her throne when she’s opening her presents.

You can also print out and tape these Princess birthday party decorations around your party area, on chairs, tables, doors, etc.:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="271" data-tags="371" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Princess Decorations

Take the hearts and stars decoration, cut them out (it’s not a must to cut them out), tie string to the top of them and hang around the Princess birthday party area. You can hang with string or curling ribbon from ceiling fans, railways, etc.

You can cut out these Princess lips and glue them to walls, chairs, hang them, etc.:

Princess Lips

Spread balloons all over your floor and if you use helium then have them decorate the ceiling. Put jewelry, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and all sorts of other royal gifts inside the balloons so that later when the kids pop them they’ll find lots of surprises.

Disperse any Princess toys or dolls your child might have all around the party area. You can tie a helium balloon to each or tie around with ribbon and they can also serve as table centerpieces. It could be cute to have a frog (either a picture of a frog or a stuffed animal), with a little sign right by saying “Kiss Me”.

On the day of the Princess birthday party, you can buy fresh flowers and place them in vases around the house and on tables.

Princess Costumes and Accessories

Upon arrival, the girls can be given Princess halos made of wire confetti with pink or purple ribbon wrapped around them. Or, you can prepare Princess hats out of plane cone party hats with pink and purple tulle coming out through the top. To the bottom you can glue colored lace with plastic rhinestones. You can also hand out beautiful boas in different Princess colors.

And what’s a little Princess without a wand? You can make wands from skewer sticks with the tips cut off and cutout stars glued to one end.

Here are free printable stars you can cut out and glue on to the sticks.

For the boys you can make crowns out of gold poster board. Shields and swords can also be cut out of poster board and covered in foil. On these you can put their names as follows “Sir/Prince _______”.

Here are shields and a sword you can print out and use:

Princess Icebreaker Activities

Princess Beauty Salon

If it’s an all-girl party, you can have everyone arrive straight to the Princess birthday party beauty salon. You can have a large mirror standing or hanging on a wall, add lots of lighting. Each arriving guest can get a touch of blush, shiny lip-gloss, and braids in her hair to help her transform into a Princess. You can also have a fingernail painting station. Offer a couple of different colors for the kids to choose from. Also have on hand suitable stickers or glitter to jazz up the activity (allow plenty of time to let their nails dry…).

Princess Coloring Pages

A great ice-breaker for all parties are Princess coloring pages! You set a table with markers, crayons, or anything else the kids can paint with and let everyone color in Princess coloring pages until all the guests arrive.

We’ve created a whole page full of free and original printable Princess coloring pages, check them out!

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="283" data-tags="371" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Princess Coloring Pages

Medieval Treasure Boxes

You can take lots of hard small cardboard boxes, spray-paint them with gold or silver spray-paint, and give each guest a treasure box right when they arrive. They can then decorate the box with sequins, jewels, plastic diamonds, etc. At the end of the party each guest’s treasure box can be their favorbox, you can put all of their party favors in their treasure boxes.

Royal Necklaces

For the sake of simplicity, you can have the girls create their own tasty edible necklaces out of licorice string, fruit loops, cheerios, and gummy lifesavers.

Royal Wand Making

You can make a royal wand making station. Have small wooden dowels out and print out these free printable stars.

The children can decorate the stars and wooden dowels using markers, glitter, glue, sequins and several strands of satin ribbon. You can also spray-paint the dowels with silver or gold spray paint so that they are more royal-looking. If you also have boys at the Princess birthday party they can decorate royal shields and swords. You can print out these free royal shield-shapes and knight’s sword.

Once you’ve printed them out, you can put the shapes on foam or cardboard. Cut the foam or cardboard using the shield and sword shapes. You can then spray-paint them with bronze, silver, or gold spray paint. At the party the kids can decorate them by sticking jewels and using markers.

Princess Snow Globes

Each guest gets a baby food jar (or any other little jar or clear water bottle for that matter). They then add star-shaped and heart-shaped sequins, glitter, water, baby oil and blue food coloring. Voila – a beautiful Princess setting in their hands!! (Just to make sure, have an adult secure the tops of the Princess snow globes with hot glue so that the fluid doesn’t drain out.)

Castle Picture Frames

Take popsicle sticks and glue to cardboard with a few rhinestones, glitter, sequins etc, and insert a picture of each child in their costume (using a Polaroid or digital camera). This is a great favor to take home.

Little Castles

You can have the kids make their own little Princess birthday party castles. Take baby food jars clean them well and remove the label. You can give the kids colored papers to glue and decorate the outside of the jar. They can paint the lid with silver acrylic paint and glitter and glue on the top a silver Hershey’s Kisses with their ‘flags’ waving (this then looks like a little castle). They can add more Hershey’s kisses in the jar and take it home as part of their Princess birthday party favors.

Homemade Princess Birthday Cakes

Here’s a super-simple Princess crown cake. Just bake a round cake. Then ,put sugar cones on top and inverted all around the edge to form the crown. You can then use frosting to attach little candies to decorate the crown cake.

You can also easily transform a plain cupcake into a Princess birthday party treat! Just cut out small Princess images and tape or glue onto toothpicks. Once dry, you can put a toothpick with a Princess image in each cupcake or decorate a whole cake. If you’re going for cupcakes, you can take all of them and place them in a heart shape on the table.

If you have boys at the Princess birthday party, you can make ‘Sword in the Stone’ cupcakes. Frost each cupcake with gray frosting. Then, take tinfoil, bend into sword shapes, and put each sword into each gray cupcake to look like the ‘Sword in the Stone’.

Another lovely dessert you can create before the party is to scoop strawberry or vanilla ice cream into cupcake holders. Decorate a little Princess face (a small smile with thin licorice, red circles for cheeks, and two little candy eyes). You can then put them in the fridge. When it’s dessert time, take them out, put whip cream around the ice-cream ball for hair. Last but not least – an upside-down ice cream cone as a Princess hat!

Princess Birthday Party Food and Drink

Princess Birthday Party Food

If your whole party has that medieval royal atmosphere, you can decide on having a 5-course royal banquet (just like at a royal ball), as well as practicing table manners.

You can announce or put small decorated signs right by each dish just to make sure everyone understands that they’re eating food fit for kings and queens!

Here are some ideas for your Princess birthday party food:

Cream cheese and strawberry jam sandwiches (you can cut these with star, heart, diamond etc. shaped cookie cutters)

Medieval Feast – this could be chicken and turkey legs with potatoes and gravy.

Jewel Salad (a salad with dried cranberries, golden raisins, cherries etc.)

Cinderella Pumpkin Dip – If your child loves Cinderella, you can hollow out a small pumpkin and fill in with a desired dip. Then cut up all kinds of vegetables (celery, carrots, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, etc.). Let the guests dip the vegetables in the Cinderalla dip.

Belle’s Garden – an array of steamed vegetables.

All kinds of breads and a platter of meats or cheeses.

Fruits out of wine glasses (or in a watermelon basket where you can cut the watermelon with heart, star, diamond, etc. shaped cookie cutters)

Heart and Star Pizza: If you have patience, you can make or order pizza, and then cut out the pepperoni into star and heart shapes (you can stack the pepperoni on top of eachother and cut with a cookie cutter, or with a knife). If your making homemade pizzas, you can cut the dough into these shapes!

Princess Yogurt and Granola – In a plastic champagne glass put a layer of yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. Repeat layers once or twice in each cup. You can then top with crushed biscuits and fresh-cut strawberries.

Princess punch (raspberry sherbet and Sprite)

Pink lemonade

Then add milk and sugar to taste.

Princess Birthday Party Treats

Snow White’s apple slices

Princess Lollipops: fill a bowl with strawberry and cherry lollipops

White and Pink marshmallows

Golden popcorn (caramel popcorn)

Princess Jello Shapes: You can get pink or red-colored Jello, follow the recipe on the box. Once it’s ready – use a star-shaped, heart-shaped, and/or diamond-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart and star Princess Jello shapes

Scooby Doo Invitations

You can make Scooby Doo invitations in the shape of dog bones. On the front or on one side of each invitation you can write something like “Scooby Doo Where Are You?”. And then on the inside or the other side of the invitation you can write “Jeremy’s Birthday Party – that’s where!”.

Check out these cool Scooby Doo free printable invitations – Dog Bowl, Dog Paw Print, and Mystery Machine invitations:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="1" data-tags="377" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

For more Scooby Doo birthday party ideas you can write something like “Scooby Doo and the Gang request your presence to help solve a birthday mystery! Join the Mystery Inc. gang at the Malt Shop (your address)” Also add the date, time, and RSVP with “It won’t be a party without all you meddling kids! So please call (add your RSVP number)”. You can finish it up with a paw print on the envelope or as a signature on the invitation.

Another idea is to write something like:”Up in the woods (that are dark and damp…), there’s a mystery to be solved at (your last name) Camp. We invite you to collect all the clues, so make sure you wear some athletic shoes! There’ll be running and laughing, and with Scooby’s help we’ll have a really rood rime!!”.

Make the writing of the invitation more Scooby-style by adding words that Scooby and the gang tend to say, for example: “Jeepers!”, “Zoinks!”, “Like, wow!”, “Man, oh, man”, “Here we go again!”, “Jinkies!”, etc. On the top of the invitation you can also write “Calling all meddling kids!”

If you’re creating a more ‘mysterious’ Scooby Doo theme, you can write up your invitations and put them in manila folders or envelopes with “Mystery, Inc.”, “Top Secret”, “Confidential”, or “Highly Classified Information” written on each envelope. Here are TOP SECRET printables. Just print out and cut each one separately, then glue or tape onto a manila envelope:

Printable Top Secret Decoration

You can also write the invitations in a secret code. Even try to create a secret code Scooby-style, with things Scooby and the gang usually say, using words and known phrases from the TV show and movie.

Decorations

If you want to have a specific color theme for your Scooby Doo birthday party ideas, it could be nice to use the colors of the Mystery Machine (light blue, light green, and red). You can also add brown as the Scooby color.

You can go for a 70’s look (since Scooby Doo and the all the other characters are from the groovy 70’s!). Your decor can have a groove to it (flowers just like the Mystery Machine, 70’s colors, smiley-faces, etc.). In addition to the 70’s decorations you can also go for a Tye Dye 70’s look for plates and table decorations.

For more Scooby Doo birthday party ideas put toys and accessories of Scooby and the Gang all around the party area. On tables disperse all kinds of Scooby accessories, little spy magnifying glasses, binoculars, and anything else that has to do with Scooby and the gang.

Here are some cool Scooby Doo-themed placecards and napkin holders to print out:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="275,277" data-tags="377" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

On each placecard you can write a child’s name followed by “Doo” – for example: “Tiffany-Doo”, “Ashley-Doo”, etc.

Background music is always nice to get everyone into the mood. There are lots of Scooby Doo CDs (from the TV shows and from the movies) you can purchase and play at the party.

You can blow-up Scooby Doo balloons and paw-print balloons to decorate your party area. You can also take regular brown balloons, tape on construction paper ears and draw on a Scooby Doo doggy face with a permanent marker.

Here are some Scooby Doo-themed decorations you can print out:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="271" data-tags="377" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Scooby Doo Decorations

One of those cool Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to create the Mystery Machine. To do this, take a refrigerator box and cut out 2 rectangles (for windows). Paint the boxes lime green and write “Mystery Machine” on them in funky orange letters. Take leftover cardboard and make orange/red flowers to stick them onto the mystery machine. The kids can take photographs with their heads sticking out of the windows.

If you have a close friend or family that has a big van, you can ask them to bring the van a day before the party and decorate it to look similar to the Mystery Van. You can put flower magnets on it, tape on colored paper, and write a big sign saying “The Mystery Machine”. Then on the day of the party you can have the Mystery Machine van drive in at a specific time during the party and all the kids will love it! You can photograph each kid sitting or standing by the Mystery Machine and then send these photos with the thank-yous.

If you’re going for a spookier look with your Scooby Doo birthday party ideas, it’s a great idea to use your Halloween decorations along with the Scooby Doo birthday party ideas you’ll find here. If you have a garage, it could be cool to clear it out and use it as the party area (usually garages have that musty air that fits a scary scene). Decorate the walls with masks, cobwebs, hanging rubber spiders, bats, etc. You can cover the walls and windows with black paper or fabric and dim the lights. Hang crepe streamers from the doorways for a little added mystery. Set up a cave by draping blankets and sheets over the furniture.

You can also consider having a fog machine for that heavy and dusty mysterious mood.

You can also print out these Halloween printable decorations that really fit this theme:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="271" data-tags="413" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Halloween Decorations

Scooby and Shaggy were always running from ghosts so one of those cool Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to decorate with ghosts. Take a white plastic table cover and cut it into four equal pieces. Then, for each ghost inflate an 11” black latex balloon and drape one of the four pieces of table cover over the balloon, leaving the tied end of the balloon on top. Cut a very small slit on the top of the white table cover and then push the tied end of the balloon through the slit. Then, carefully mark and cut out eye holes from the table cover.

Attach curling ribbon to the ceiling and then tie it to the tied end of the balloon that is coming out of the slit. Your ghosts will then come to life whenever someone goes by (when the wind moves them).

You can add all kinds of signs that are written in a scary font, for example “Do Not Enter”, “Zoinks, Jarred is 6!”, “Meddling Kids Beware!”, “Jeepers, Watch Out for Creepers”, etc. and have pictures of ghosts or tombstones surrounding the text of the sign. You can also have signs saying things from the TV show and movie, like “Scooby Doobie Doooo!”. You can have signs saying things the way Scooby would say them, for example if your kid’s name is Jarred, you can write “Rappy Rirthday Rarred!”.

Another one of those really cool Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to decorate with dog paw-prints on your floor leading to the party area. Here are dog paw-prints that that you can print out:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="273" data-tags="377" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

Scooby Doo Birthday Party Ideas for Costumes

One of the coolest Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to have the guests dress in Scooby garb. You can give the boys a red scarf (for Freddy) or a Scooby dog tag. You or the kids can create their own Scooby Doo tags by using blue ribbon and a yellow and blue construction paper diamond shape with “SD” written on it. Just punch a hole in the diamond and put the ribbon through it.

The girls can pick between a headband (for Daphne) and black glasses for Velma (which can be made out of black pipe cleaners). The kids can also wear cool 70’s costume accessories (peace signs, cool 70’s sunglasses, wigs, hats, 70’s necklaces, etc.). It can also be nice to have someone do face painting (painting on people’s faces flowers, peace symbols, stars, etc.).

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="6481" data-tags="7932" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Scooby Doo costumes.

If you don’t want to buy or create any costumes, you can print out these cool Mystery Van, Dog Paw-Print and more Scooby Doo-themed cone hats and use for your party:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="299" data-tags="377" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

Icebreaker Activities

Dog Tags and Collars

Here’s one of those cool Scooby Doo birthday party ideas. Have the kids create their own dog tags by cutting out the bottoms of aluminum plates, punching a hole to put a string, and carving with a point the name or initials of the child’s name. You can also write the child’s name backward on the tag’s reverse side so that the type is embossed on the other side. Make sure to bend the tag’s sharp edges so that no one gets cut. For the collars, use strips of felt with Velcro and have the kids glue plastic beads and jewels to their collars.

Scooby Doo Mystery Sounds

Before the party, record small parts from the Scooby Doo TV show (if the party is for older kids try recording sounds or moments that are unusual and that will be harder to recognize). At the party play-back the recording, and have the kids guess the Scooby Doo mystery sounds. They’ll need to recognize which Scooby Doo episode each sound comes from.

T-Shirt Tye-Dyeing

This can be a really fun ice-breaker activity and one of those Scooby Doo birthday party ideas that is a sure hit. Tye-Dyed shirts go along really well with the 70’s theme. Ask each guest to come with a white t-shirt so that they can tye-dye them.

Spider Web and Ghost Untangling

Here’s another one of those really fun Scooby Doo birthday party ideas. Before the party designate in area of the party and set up a spider web maze. You’ll need very long pieces of black yarn string (at the party, each kid will get an end of one of the strings). At the end of each long black string tie a white balloon and draw on a scary face (these are ghost faces). Then weave all of the long black strings all over the area (it’s best if you tie something very visible, like a red piece of paper to the other end so that it is clear to view).

Then at the beginning of the party each guest gets an end of yarn and needs to untangle the spider web to get to their ghost. You can also put a candy or little prize in each blown-up ghost balloon, that way when each kid gets to their balloon – they can pop it and find a prize.

Homemade Birthday Cakes

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="4874" data-tags="" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Scooby Doo birthday cakes.

Another of those simple Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to bake a cake in a diamond-shaped cake pan. Then decorate it to look like Scooby Doo’s collar, with the blue and yellow colors and Scooby Doo’s initials “SD” (or use your child’s initials instead).

You can also make a dog paw print cake easily. Make a round cake and frost. Then take four cupcakes and frost them in the same colored frosting. Then place the cupcakes by the top of the round cake around half of the cake (each cupcake is a dog finger/toe). With the cake you can serve dog-bone cookies.

One of the coolest Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to use the birthday cake as a beginning of a mystery the kids need to solve. Gather all the kids together to sing Happy Birthday and then bring out the cake (with a dark lid over the cake). Then when you open the lid of the cake, the kids won’t find a cake but a torn-and-worn note (burned at the edges) and that will start the mystery!

Then the kids start on a scavenger hunt to look for the hidden birthday cake! Create the scavenger hunt Scooby-style, with all kinds of Scooby riddles and clues (each riddle and/or clue could have to do with a different episode or quotes from the TV show or movie – things that the characters have said or done).

You can use these printable ghosts as cards to write on each clue. Just print them out on white paper (it’s best if it’s heavier paper), cut out each ghost and write a clue on it for the mystery scavenger hunt.

Party Food and Drink

Scooby Doo Birthday Party Ideas for Food:

If you’re having a buffet or area the food will be in, you can write a big sign saying what Shaggy would say “Let’s do what we do best Scoob… eat!”.

Scooby’s Mystery Pizzas: Pizza! One of Scooby Doo’s favorite foods! You can give each kid two halves of English muffins and let them put sauce, cheese and toppings on themselves. Then bake and serve when ready.

Shaggy’s Sandwiches: Shaggy and Scooby also love to eat long size sandwiches! You can make this a buffet that everyone makes their own sandwiches.

Dog Bone Sandwiches: Make any type of sandwich the shape of a dog bone with a dog bone cookie cutter. First cut the two pieces of bread into a bone shape and then add the sandwich fillings.

Dogs in a Blanket: Buy your favorite brand of hot dogs and croissants. Start by slicing the hot dogs lengthwise. Then unroll the croissants and stuff them with hot dogs. Roll the croissants back up and bake until golden brown.

Hot DOGS and Corn DOGS

Dog Bones: Use a dog-bone cookie cutter and cut bones out of refrigerator dough bread sticks baking it according to package directions. While the bones are still warm, use a little butter or olive oil and brush the tops with it. Then sprinkle the dog bones with a good amount of parmesan cheese. Into individual bowls, pour spaghetti sauce or marinara sauce and give them to the kids so that they can dip and eat their yummy doggie treats!

Raw-hide Bones: Take refrigerated breadstick dough (like Pillsbury), they are about 10″ long, halve them and twist a knot on each end, sprinkle with parmesan, bake and they look just like little rawhide bones!

Mummy Dogs: Hot dogs wrapped with breadstick dough and two dots of mustard for the eyes.

Tip: It could be fun to let everyone eat out of clean dog bowls. Even write each of their names on each of their dog bowls with puffy paint or a permanent marker.

Scooby Doo Birthday Party Ideas for Drinks:

Spooky Drink: You can basically do anything, but a cool idea is to mix sherbert ice-cream with ginger-ale (it’s supposed to create a lot of foam), and then put a big rubber spider on top of the foam.

Swamp Punch: Freeze frozen hands (green-colored Kool-Aid in latex-free gloves) and have them float in grape juice!

Scooby Doobie Doo Chocolate Drink: Chocolate milk (cold or hot) will do the job! You can also create chocolate milkshakes for that brownish Scooby color.

Scooby Doo Birthday Party Ideas for Treats:

Puppy Chow: Take one package of chocolate chips, half a cup of peanut butter and a fourth cup of butter, and microwave on high for one minute. Then stir, microwave half a minute more until it’s smooth. Then add one teaspoon of vanilla and pour over a large bowl full of 9 cups of Chex and stir. Let cool, and then pour everything into a large Ziploc bag, add half a cup of powdered sugar, seal the bag and shake. Then spread evenly on wax paper to cool. This treat resembles dog food and so you can serve it in little doggy dishes.

K-9 Candy: You can put candy that looks like dog treats in dog bowls. The kids will love this!

Kooky Chew Treats: Also served in dog bowls – these are inexpensive cookie treats that look like real dog treats!

Doggie’s kibbles and bits: Any mix of dried cereals like Chex or any other crispy cereal, pretzels, trail mix, etc.

Ice Cream made by the Malt Shop Chef!

Rooby Rack (another name for a Scooby Snack :-)

Spider Oreo’s: Separate the two parts of an Oreo cookie, put three strands of licorice across the cookie and put the top of the cookie back on. Use two dots of icing to anchor red hots or M&Ms for the eyes.

Doggie Bone Cookies – Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe, or purchase a package of Pillsbury sugar cookies. Follow the instructions on the package, roll out the dough and cut into dog-bone shapes with a dog-bone cookie cutter and bake according to the directions.

Decorate a cereal box and it’s label to look like a real dog-food box, you can write on it something like “Scooby Chow” or anything similar and use it to refill the ‘puppy chow’ during the party.

Favor-Boxes and Bags, Favors and Thank You’s

We have created these printable and foldable favor bags and favor boxes. They are blank and so the kids can decorate and fold them themselves. You can also create them before the party. You’ll find large favor-bags, medium favor-bags, and favor-boxes for you to print out:

One of those simple Scooby Doo birthday party ideas is to purchase bags with handles and affix an official “Mystery, Inc.” on them (create a stencil and either spray paint or color in). Inside, you can put Scooby Doo tattoos, Scooby Doo stickers, Scooby Doo accessories, scooby doo ears, scooby doo tags, and ghost lollipops (these are made by taking dumdum lollipops and covering them with coffee filters; then use a twist tie around the “neck” area and draw circle eyes and mouth on the head area; very cute and easy to make).

Here are free printable Certificates that could be used at the party (awarding the kids on finishing a Scooby Doo Hunt or mission) or as party favors:

First off, there’s an overwhelming selection of Winnie the Pooh party supplies and party packs. But don’t worry. You won’t need to browse around forever trying to find the best deal. Just compare between the packs below which cover pretty much all the Winnie the Pooh birthday items in the market:

Winnie the Pooh Party Supplies at Birthday in a Box

Winnie the Pooh Invitations

One of the coolest Winnie the Pooh birthday ideas for invitations is to shape them like honey pots (or like Pooh would say “HUNNY” pots). It would be cute to write “It would be so sweet if you came to my birthday!” on the honey pot invitations. For the Tigger invitations to really be “Tigger-y”, you’ll need to print on orange paper, and for the Piglet invitations to be “Piglet-y”, you’ll need to print on pink paper. Then cut out each invitation and put each in a separate envelope.

Here are some Winnie the Pooh birthday ideas to word your invitations (some are directly quoted from the Pooh book itself):

Pooh and Tigger both agree, a birthday party is a grand place to be! Come and be part of the splendiferous fun at Matt’s 3rd birthday party!

Our little HUNNY is turning 2 years old! Join us in the Hundred Acre Woods for a fun Winnie the Pooh birthday!

Winnie the Pooh and friends are here to say “Please join us for Mark’s first birthday!”

“Hurray”, shouted Piglet. “Hurray”, shouted Pooh. “We’re inviting you to welcome someone small and new! Join us for some birthday fun!”

Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood where Winnie and his friends play, you’ll find the enchanted forest where we will celebrate Kevin’s first birthday! Join Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Piglet too! On (date) at (time), address, RSVP to Christopher Robin at (rsvp number). Come and fill your rumbly tummy!

Wherever they go, and whatever happens to them on the way, in that enchanted place on the top of the forest, a little boy and his Bear will always be playing. You’re invited to Noah’s 4th birthday party with Pooh and friends.

Deep in the hundred acre wood where Christopher Robin plays, you will find the enchanted neighborhood of Christopher’s childhood days. A donkey named Eeyore is his friend and Kanga and little Roo. There’s Rabbit and Piglet, and there’s Owl… But most of all Winnie the Pooh!

“Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh, Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff! He’s, Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh. Willy nilly silly old bear!”

“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like “What about lunch?” – Pooh”, “Come for a tasty lunch to Tina’s 2nd birthday party with Winnie the Pooh!”

“Piglet: “How do you spell love?”, Pooh: “You don’t spell it, you feel it” We’d LOVE for you to come to Nathan’s 1st birthday party! Come and celebrate with Pooh and the gang!”

[picture of Pooh holding a birthday cake and Piglet by his side] “Everyday is somebody’s birthday”, said Pooh. “That’s a lot of cake!” said Piglet. Join us as we Celebrate Stephanie’s Birthday in the Hundred Acre woods. Come with a rumbly in your tumbly and we will be sure you leave stuffed with fluff!

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="1" data-tags="395" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

If you are writing the Winnie the Pooh birthday invitations in your own writing, try flipping a few letters (like little kids writing and more of a Poohish-Style). The best letters to flip are s, c, e, k, r, and y.

Remember to include all the important information as in: date, time, location of the party, and an RSVP number. For a nice touch, add a Pooh sticker on the back of the envelopes.

Winnie the Pooh Decorations

For the Winnie the Pooh birthday you can choose a few color schemes, depends on the type of party you are having. If you’re going for the Classic Pooh, the most suitable colors would be pale yellow, lavender, pale blue, pale pink, soft green, etc. If you’re going for the modern Pooh, vibrant colors would work well (red, yellow, green and blue). Finally, if you want the feel of the Hundred Acre Woods, try using a light greenish-yellow and light blue combination (green for the trees/greenery and light blue for the sky).

Check out this nice free Hunny Pot decoration printable, you can tape it on walls, doors, signs, etc. (also would be nice to print it out on colorful paper or have your kids color it in):

Printable Hunny Pot Decoration

If there is a character that you want to focus on, use their colors. Red and yellow (or gold) for Pooh, for Eeyore use grayish blues, purples and a dash of fuchsia (the color of Eeyore’s tail ribbon), for Piglet, use a pastel pink, fuchsia and purples, for Tigger use orange and blacks, etc.

On orange balloons you can draw Tigger stripes with a black marker. You can also inflate long orange balloons and draw black Tigger stripes for Tigger’s tail. On Fuchsia and pink balloons you can draw dark purple or black lines for Piglet. On purplish-bluish-greyish (in other words – Eeyore-colored…) balloons, tie a strip of fabric (the color of Eeyore) with a pink ribbon on the end and black yarn for the tail of Eeyore, then draw Eeyore eyes on the balloon with a permanent marker.

You can also tie together balloons to look like flowers. Use long green balloons for stems, a balloon tied to the top of the long green balloon as the middle circle of the flower (can be any color you choose) and then attach five balloons (all the same color) around the middle balloon to represent petals.

For your Winnie the Pooh birthday, you can make large signs saying “Hundred Acre Woods”, “Welcome to the most POOH-rrific Party!”, “Poohs Thotful Spot”, “Think, Think, Think”, etc. The signs can have backward letters or misspelled words (for example “Welkom to the 100 Akre Wuds”).

You can cut out paw prints of Winnie the Pooh characters – yellow bear prints (which are literally orangish-yellow oval circles) for Pooh, orange cat paw prints for Tigger, etc. and spread them on your driveway. Have the prints lead to the Winnie the Pooh birthday area, so the guests know where to go. We’ve created these free printable Pooh and Tigger footprints:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="273" data-tags="395" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

For the above footprints just print out as many as you need, cut out and then glue or tape them to the floor as if they are walking footprints (one after the other, right then left, etc.). To save on precious color ink, print the shapes onto colorful construction/bristol paper. For Pooh’s footprints print on yellow construction paper and then fill in the bear foot marks (inside the ovals) with a light orange marker (as shown in the picture on the left below). For Tigger’s footprints, print on light orange paper and fill in the foot marks inside the oval with vibrant orange (shown in the picture on the right below).

To get a Hundred Acre Woods feel, use light greenish-yellow tablecloths and add your additional chosen colors with balloons, streamers and centerpieces. Decorate with pictures of trees, sun, clouds, etc. You can use fishing line to hang leaves from the ceiling (as if they are blowing in the wind), as well as a few kites as well.

If you want your Winnie the Pooh birthday theme to be more of a ‘Picnic in the Hundred Acre Woods’, then consider using a red and white checkered tablecloth. For more of a picnic-feel, decorate with lots of wicker picnic baskets, sunflowers, and even artificial grass.

For more Winnie the Pooh birthday table decorations print these free placecards and napkin holders, fold and put on the party table/s:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="275,277" data-tags="395" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

With the Tigger and Piglet placecards and napkin holders, remember to print on colorful paper (orange for Tigger and pink for Piglet).

If you’re having a few tables, how about making each table coincide with a different character? A table with a pink tablecloth, purple balloons and a Piglet doll as a centerpiece, a table with an orange tablecloth, black balloons and a Tigger doll as a centerpiece, a grayish-blue tablecloth with black and fuchsia balloons and an Eeyore doll as a centerpiece, a red or yellow tablecloth with red and yellow balloons and a Pooh doll as a centerpiece, etc.

A nice centerpiece that can really fit the Winnie the Pooh birthday theme is creating beehives. You can take terra cotta pots that have circular grooves in them and when you turn them upside down they look like beehives. You can paint the beehives a yellowish-orange color and accentuate the grooves with a brown color (if you don’t have a pot with grooves, you can paint dark brown lines around the pot as well). What else does a beehive need? Bees, of course! You can find little fake bees at a craft or fabric store and hot glue them to the beehive.

Another idea for a Winnie the Pooh birthday centerpiece is to put honey pots. For this you will need small and/or medium sized terra cotta pots (you can buy simple ones or plastic ones at craft and gardening stores). With hot glue you can create drips (to look like honey drips) on the rim of the pots.

Once the hot glue gun is really hot, have hot glue drip all around the rim and gravity will pull it down to resemble the dripping of honey. Once the glue is dry, paint the hot glue drips with yellowish-orange paint to look like honey (you can also make the drips with just dripping yellow paint, without hot glue as well). Then with a small brush, paint the word “HUNNY” (as Pooh spells it) onto the pot with black or dark brown writing. Once the pots dry, you can clean them and put candies, lollipops or any other party item that suites to be in a pot.

It would also be very nice to have flowers as centerpieces, these can be fake and/or real flowers in pots (how about a Hunny flower pot?), or even just separate flowers floating in a bowl of water.

You can run a fishing line across the room at several points and use it to hang bees. You can make the bees by gluing two halves of egg carton cups together, paint them yellow and black, add googly eyes, and attach black pipe cleaners for the antennae and stinger. Make wings from white plastic bag pieces attached to wire (it’s easiest to use hot glue to attach all these pieces).

You can put party hats on the stuffed animals. If you don’t have any Pooh stuffed animals you can buy Pooh costume masks and put them on other stuffed animals and/or around the party area. You can put these stuffed animals as centerpieces and tie helium balloons around them.

Collect and borrow all Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Owl, Christopher Robin memorabilia, stuffed animals, collectibles, books etc. and disperse them all around. You can also print out pictures and tape them all around the Winnie the Pooh birthday area.

Another really cute idea is to put up a sign on your bathroom door saying “The Pooh Room” just like in this picture.

If the Winnie the Pooh birthday will be taking place outside, you can also make ‘Rabbit’s Garden’. Put a small plastic white picket fence around a green patch of grass, add little signs (with different vegetables printed on them) to different rows of grass, and a larger sign saying “Rabbit’s Garden”.

Even if the Winnie the Pooh birthday is taking place indoors you can create your own ‘Rabbit’s Garden’. You can cut out strips from white cardboard to resemble a picket fence, attach them to a very shallow cardboard box, put a black plastic bag in the cardboard box, add some artificial grass, spread a little soil and put signs with different vegetables (or even use plastic vegetables to disperse in the soil). Don’t forget the larger sign saying “Rabbit’s Garden”.

As a finishing touch, music can add a whole lot of atmosphere and mood to your child’s Winnie the Pooh birthday party. There are TONS of Winnie the Pooh music CDs you can buy, from favorite song CDs to songs from a particular movie or episode, etc.

Pooh Costumes and Accessories

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="6949" data-tags="" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Winnie the Pooh costumes.

Instead of paying someone to come as one of the Winnie the Pooh characters, it’s much cheaper to rent out costumes for a few hours and have friends or older kids from the family dress up as a few of the Winnie the Pooh characters, this could bring a lot of joy to the kids!

Here are some free Winnie the Pooh cone hats to print out:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="299" data-tags="395" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

All you have to do with the above printable hats, is print them out, cut around the half circle, roll each of them up and staple! Also, make sure you print Tigger and Piglet hats on colorful paper (orange for Tigger and pink for Piglet).

Winnie the Pooh Icebreaker Activities

How many Bees in the Hunny Jar?

If you have a clear jar that is in the shape of a hunny pot, fill it up with lots of yellow and black jelly beans (as if bees are in it). You can also use red and yellow gummy bears for Pooh colors (or orange and black jelly beans for Tigger, light pink and purple jelly beans for Piglet, etc.) All the guests need to guess how many jelly beans or gummy bears are in the jar. The closest guess wins the jar full of candy!

Printable Winnie the Pooh Quiz

If you’ll be having adults coming with their small children to the Winnie the Pooh birthday party, why not create a fun activity for the adults as well! We’ve created a printable Winnie the Pooh Quiz (and another page filled with all the answers), have fun!:

Just print out and give to each guest. Whoever answers the most correctly wins a small prize! (can be a nice honey jar or bear shaped honey bottle, movie tickets, coupons, a nice music CD, a Pooh dvd, etc.).

Edible Honeynut Necklaces and Bracelets

This is a fun and yummy Winnie the Pooh birthday activity! You’ll need thin licorice and honey nut cheerios cereal. Before the party cut the thin licorice in lengths of necklaces and bracelets. At the party, kids and adults can make their own honey nut necklaces and bracelets by threading the thin licorice into the honey nut cheerios. Then have them put around their neck and/or wrist and tie at the end. Yummy!

Homemade Winnie the Pooh Birthday Cakes

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="4996" data-tags="6107" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Winnie the Pooh cakes.

Other than the above Winnie the Pooh birthday cake ideas, how about creating “Cub” Cakes? Decorate each cupcake with a little Pooh bear face.

Another great dessert can be “Rabbit Ice Cream Balls”. You make large ice cream balls for each of your guests. Roll vanilla ice cream balls in coconut flakes and set them on flattened cupcake wrappers. Decorate the ice-cream balls using black jelly beans – for rabbit’s eyes, a red jelly bean – for the nose, and halved sugar cookies – for Rabbit’s ears. You can create these before the party and store the ice cream balls in the freezer until ready to serve.

You can also make little Piglet ice cream balls. Use a big round strawberry ice-cream ball for Piglet’s face, a pink marshmallow for the nose, two little black jelly beans for the eyes, a piece of thin black licorice for the mouth, and pink triangular cookies for the ears.

Winnie the Pooh Party Food and Drink

Usually the Winnie the Pooh birthday theme is used for first, second, third and fourth birthdays, that’s why it’s important to make food that the youngsters will eat but also the parents can benefit from as well. Here are some Winnie the Pooh birthday ideas for birthday party food:

Winnie the Pooh Birthday Food Ideas

‘Rabbit’s garden’ – this is a healthy treat. Cut various vegetables arranged in long straight rows with a hand-drawn sign attached to a toothpick explaining what’s in Rabbit’s garden. Don’t forget the dip!

Poohfect macaroni and cheese

You can make all kinds of little sandwiches and cut them in the shape of a teddy bear (with a Teddy Bear cookie cutter). Take the pieces of bread and cut them each with the teddy bear cookie cutter, then add the sandwich ingredients (you can add a decorative toothpick to hold the sandwich together).

Tigger Tails – spiral spaghetti with tangy meatballs

Another great idea is to make little pizzas in the shape of teddy bears. Make the pizza dough and cut into teddy bear shapes with a teddy bear cookie cutter. Put tomato sauce, cheese and pop into the oven.

Owlive cheese dip

‘Piglet in a Blanket’ (sleeping of course…) – Slice hot dogs lengthwise about halfway through, making sure not to cut apart. Unroll crescent rolls (refrigerated crescent rolls from a tube) into individual triangles. Place a hotdog onto a roll, roll-up crescent and bake as directed (usually until golden brown).

Kanga’s Kabob’s (can be meat kabobs or just fruit-kabobs)

“Pooh-Nut Butter Sandwiches” made with peanut-butter? Or “Honey Pot Sandwiches” made with honey.

‘Roo’s Pockets’ – you can create little pita pockets with all kinds of fillings the guests can choose from.

Honey Nut Buns – create little round buns with a dash of honey and nuts.

Honey Chicken

Tips: It can be nice serving the Winnie the Pooh birthday food in honey (hunny!) pots. Also, don’t forget to make little signs that show the titles of each dish. The signs can be cut out from cardstock with a Pooh character sticker. On each sign write the special names (using “Pooh”-type misspelled words and backwards letters). A nice idea is to put a sign leading to the food table saying “This way to fill your rumbly tumbly”.

Winnie the Pooh Birthday Drink Ideas

Winnie the Pooh Bearry Juice (you can serve a combination of strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry flavored juice).

Sweet Honey Bee Tea – it could be nice to make honey tea a day before the party, then chill and serve cold.

Piglet’s Pink Lemonade – Pink Lemonade from concentrate.

Honey Banana Milkshake (yummy in my tummy!)

Winnie the Pooh Birthday Treat Ideas

Teddy Grahams

Gummy Bears

Honey Nut Cheerios

Owl faces made out of a pineapple! Cut the pineapple in circles, put each circle (an owl’s face) on a large plate, add two raisins for eyes and candy-corn for Owl’s nose.

‘Eeyore’s Blue Rainclouds’ – Blue Jell-O and cool whip added in fluffs to resemble clouds.

Honey-Flavored Candy

Honey Roasted Peanuts

Honey with apples (yummy dipping the apples in the honey, great healthy treat!)

TIGGERS-tigg Tails – make rice krispie treats and roll them into long shapes resembling tales. Then frost with orange and black to resemble Tigger’s tail.

Bearilicious chocolate-dipped Winnie the Pooh ‘Bear’ies – have a pot of all kinds of berries – strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc. (wash them and let them dry very well or else the chocolate won’t stick). Microwave a pack of semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl for something like 30 seconds (this may vary from microwave to microwave, so monitor the chocolate). Once the chocolate is done, stir very well to make sure all the lumps have melted. Then let your guests dip the berries in the melted chocolate!

Gopher’s Dirt Pile – any dessert that can look like a dirt pile: crushed chocolate cookies, chocolate mouse, or chocolate cake, etc.

Tigger’s Tail Mix – can be a variety of nuts, raisins, granola, etc.

Tip: If you’re planning on serving honey as part of the party treats, how about buying honey in the bear-shaped container and putting on tables not only for eating but as a nice decoration.

Winnie the Pooh Party Favors

We’ve created these printable and foldable Winnie the Pooh favor bags and favor boxes. They are blank and so the kids can decorate and fold them themselves. You can also print them out on different-colored paper, possibly the color/s of your child’s Winnie the Pooh birthday colors. You can also create them before the party.

We have large favor-bags, medium favor-bags, and favor-boxes for you to print out. For all of the Tigger and Piglet favor-boxes and bags print on colorful paper (orange for Tigger and pink for Piglet).

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="307,305,303" data-tags="395" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

For the favorbox and the medium favorbag – print out, color if needed (or print on colored paper) and cut out. Before you start gluing the favorbox, fold along the dotted lines and assemble so that all the sides connect. Only then add glue and secure the folded flaps.

To create the large Sesame Street / Elmo birthday party favorbags you’ll need to print out TWO designs for one favorbag. First, cut along the lines and fold along the dotted lines. Then, connect the two so that the left side of one is glued to the right side of the other.

Here are Winnie the Pooh birthday ideas of things you can put in the favor pack: Pooh themed stickers, finger puppets, activity books and coloring pages, bubbles, punch balloons, small cans of play-dough, Pooh music CD’s, Pooh stationary, Pooh socks, small Winnie the Pooh photo holders, little honey pots, Winnie the Pooh key chains, little jars full of honey, gummy bears, small slinkies (on them you can attach a note saying “Remember to keep bouncin’ because that’s what tiggers do best”), Pooh band-aids, Pooh candles, Honey-scented candles, etc.

You can also create little thank you notes and glue a magnet to the back (this way the guest can put the magnet on their refrigerator and remember and cherish the party). You can print out a picture of each guest from the party, laminate the picture, and glue a magnet on the back.

The thank-you note can say something like “Thank you for making my party Tigger-iffic!”, “It was a very Pooh kind of day! Thanks for celebrating with our little ‘Hunny!’ “, “Thank you for making my birthday Pooh-fect!”, “Thanks a whole lot for your Tiggerific gift!”, etc

Make sure the above Tigger and Piglet thank-yous are printed on colorful paper (orange paper for the Tigger thank-yous and pink paper for the Piglet thank-yous).

“Company MARCH!!! Right, Left, Right, Left… Company HALTTT!!”

There’s no need to browse around forever trying to find the best deal on Army party supplies. Just compare between these supplies. They cover pretty much all the Army / Special Forces / Patriotic party items available today:

A nice theme party idea to think about, is trying to call (at least a month in advance before the party) a nearby army recruit office, tell them about the party and ask if they have anything they could donate that they don’t need. A few parents I know who have done this received shirts, posters, hats, flashlights, mugs, pens, notebooks, duffle bags and more. It’s great to use authentic army supplies at your party!

You can also try and find out if there is a way to bring a real soldier to the party (maybe a friend you know, or a friend of a friend who can hop by), the kids would be thrilled!! Even if he/she came in uniform for half an hour and answered kid’s questions and showed them a few army drills, it will be an experience the kids will never forget!

Here’s another special theme party idea: There are kids who are willing to contribute to a special cause instead of receiving gifts. If you’re kid is one of them, how about being part of Operation ‘Adopt A Soldier’ – a project that sends care packages to soldiers overseas. First you’ll need to be in touch with them, here’s the Operation Adopt A Soldier website. Their website has a whole page of “Items Needed”, you can make a list of these items and send the invitations along with a letter to the parents explaining that your child decided to have the children bring items to donate to the troops in place of receiving birthday presents. Then as one of your activities at the party, let the kids make packages and write letters to the soldiers. Additional programs you can look into include Soldier’s Angels and America’s Adopt a Soldier.

Army Theme Party Invitations

Your Special Forces theme party invitations can be “Draft Notices” addressed to “Sergeant (name)” or “Private (name)” and can read something like:

“Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to report for basic training. Private First Class (birthday kid) requests the honor of your presence at his/her (*th) Birthday Party on (the date) 1500 hours to 1700 hours (3 to 5 p.m. civilian-time) at the (your last name) Family Military Base (your address and phone). Chow and birthday rations will be served in the Mess Hall. Please be prepared to run basic training drills testing accuracy, survival, agility, endurance, strength and balance skills. Dress Code: Uniforms are not required (but would be very proper if worn); however, recruits will be performing drills outside, so please dress appropriately.

You can put a small plastic army figure and/or dog tag inside with their rank and serial number on it (or make dog tags out of pieces of cardboard covered with aluminum foil and attached to string). The serial numbers will be used to divide into odd and even teams for the tug-of-war later.

Here’s a list full of army phrases and jargon you can use when writing your army theme party invitations:

You’ve been deployed to bootcamp

You are hereby requested to report for duty!

Official orders for Private (name of guest)

Attention Troops! You are hereby summoned to a top-secret birthday mission

Battle-Rattle (slang for combat gear)

Report for Basic training in camo fatigues

Your mission, should you choose to accept it…

Memorandum for Distribution (you can write this before the invitation text)

Another idea is to use the camouflage-look for your party invitations. You can probably find camouflage wrapping paper at party or craft stores, cut out squares or rectangles, glue onto cardstock and write all the party information on the other side. And yet another idea is to take a photo of your child pointing at the viewer, then in a picture-editing software (like photoshop), paste your child’s face to Uncle Sam and write “[Child’s name] wants YOU to have fun at his/her party!”.

Army Decorations

Decorate the whole theme party area with black, brown, tan and green balloons and streamers to get that Special Forces color effect. Camouflage netting also gives an Army / Special Forces-like feel. The colors you choose will give the feel to the party. You can go with more tans, light yellows and browns for desert soldiers, or blue, gray, and olive green for more of a jet/pilot theme. For a more patriotic theme, you can use colors of your countries’ flag, for example red, white and blue for an American or Australian flag, or red and white for a Canadian flag, etc.

Check out these free printable decorations, you can let the kids color in and hang around the party area – American flags, Army star decoration, grenades, three kinds of Army targets and binoculars:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="271" data-tags="337" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Army Decorations

If you have any tents or a gazebo, put them up. Even if the theme party takes place indoors – designate one or two rooms as the ‘base’, even putting up tents inside the house. If you”ll be having the party outdoors you can make your own tents!! This can also be a really fun ice-breaking activity. This is simply done by taking two poles (or broomsticks) and sticking them firmly into the ground (about 4 feet apart – even a bit more). Then attach a tough string from one pole to the other. After this, take a green or Special Forces-like blanket and hang the middle on the string. Attach both edges to the ground with stakes. The kids can eat or play in or around them.

Also print out these pennant flags on army-colored papers (green, brown, tan, etc.), cut them out, and attach each flag to a stick and decorate:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="279" data-tags="337" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

See All Printable Army Flags and Pennants

The smaller army flags are ones you put on a long string, they are called flag pennants (just like a string of flags you see a lot at car dealerships).

Cut out each small flag, attach to a long string (roll the upper tip around the string, a stapler would probably be the easiest way to fasten it), and keep on attaching flags to the long string until the whole long string has flags on it. Then use this string of flags to decorate the party area.

You can easily decorate with leftover July 4th decorations, American flags and all kinds of American patriotic decorations.

For the theme party food area, assign a table to be the ‘Mess Hall’ (a military dining room), also create a sign for the table. If you decide to put up tents, have the Mess Hall be in one of the tents for that authentic feel. Cover tables with camo fabric, tarp, canvas, and/or netting. Here are placecards and napkin holders you can decorate your tables with:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="275,277" data-tags="337" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

For the napkin holders, cut around each one and fold in a circle around a napkin, then secure with tape when both ends meet. On each printable placecard page there are 4 placecards, print, cut each out, and fold each in half. On each placecard you can write “Private”, “Sergeant”, etc. followed by each child’s name.

Two other areas you can assign are the ‘Barracks’ (military sleeping accommodation) and the ‘Sick Bay’ – a small tent set up for first-aid. The kids can play in these areas during game-time. It’s also nice to decorate with glow sticks hanging in a few places. Glow sticks are so cool! You can take only the green ones and decorate your table with them. You can also hang them from the ceiling or on door knobs. Open them about half an hour before the party so that during the party they keep their glow.

Add army theme party signs all around the party area, signs that say “(Your last name) Army Base”, “Air Raid Shelter”, “Ammunition Bunker”, “(Your last name) Boot Camp”, “Barracks”, “Checkpoint”, “Training Field”, “Mess Hall”, “Restricted Area”, “Military Base”, “(Your last name) Air Force”, “Welcome, Recruits!”, “Company March!”, “Top Secret”, etc. You can use any of the decoration printables above.

Another great poster decoration you can print out yourself, are the following famous Uncle Sam and Rosie the Riveter poster printables.

Rosie the Riveter Poster

You can check with a nearby army recruiting office and see if you can loan or take any army-related items, camo nets, cardboard soldiers, targets, etc. Hang army and mosquito nets all over the party area. Hang black-painted styrofoam balls (as little bombs). It would also be cool to decorate the theme party area with maps. Check out these maps you can print out (as seen on David Rumsey’s site):

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="281" data-tags="337" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

A good theme party idea is to check out some surplus or goodwill stores to find old ammo boxes, netting and more interesting Special Forces accessories. You can also take huge brown refridgerator boxes, spray paint them with green and black spray paint (to give them that camo look), then add them to your party area – the kids can crawl through them, play in them, and hide behind them during the water balloon war.

Music can really add to your Army theme party atmosphere. Consider creating a CD filled with army-theme music to play during the party.

Homemade Army-Themed Costumes

Once each kid arrives they can be checked in and issued their Special Forces gear, for instance a Special Forces helmet, a green bandana or strips of camo fabric around their head, army tattoo, camo face paint, etc. (you can get lots of great stuff at the surplus stores…). Have a few adults or older kids help get all the kids in uniform, convince them to act as serious army captains, drill instructors, etc. – that way the kids get into the vibe of the party.

The kids can also earn their army-look… you can put up a poster of a soldier’s creed, have each kid stand next to it and recite it with music playing in the background, and after reading they get to wear their uniform. Here are some great homemade army-themed costumes:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="6289" data-tags="7932" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Military-themed costumes.

You can print and cut out these free printable patches and ranks to put either where the deltoid muscle is (the upper, outer side of the upper arm, where soldiers put their ranks), on hats, on shoulders, on the left-hand side of their chest-area, or anywhere on their uniforms (it’s best to pin them on with safety pins):

Printable Patches and Ranks

Then, you can paint their faces with green, black and brown face paints so that they look and feel like real soldiers. You can also put some Army tattoos on them. Another nice addition is putting band-aids on their face, hands, legs, etc. (the Curad brand has really cool camouflage band-aids), and also creating little scars with face paint.

With your phone or a digital camera take a picture of each camouflaged soldier saluting and either print them to hand out at the end of the party or send them the pictures with the thank you cards.

At the end of the party you can create “Completion Certificates” to award the kids for successfully completing all the top secret birthday missions put before them.

Here are a few kinds of printable army cone party hats you can print out:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="299" data-tags="337" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

Army Icebreaker Activities

Army Tags

While you are waiting for everyone to arrive, the kids can create their own army tags. Before the party cut out lots of rectangles out of cardboard, then put them all on a table and beside them add little pieces of aluminum foil. Show the kids how to wrap each rectangle with a little piece of aluminum foil, and with the end of a paperclip they can carve their name, ID number, and birth date on the smooth side of the aluminum foil (it’s also cool to write in a nickname for each child, for example: Bazooka, Shotgun, Viper, Tank, Grenade, Fast Fire, Sniper, Bomber, Ammo, etc.). If you don’t want the kids using any sharp instruments, they can also write in all the information with a permanent marker.

Water Balloon Making

You might be planning to have a fun water balloon fight during game-time!! Get the kids hyped up about it by letting them make lots of water balloons while waiting for everyone to come. You might need a few big buckets to hold all the water balloons.

Flags

Depending on the country you are from, the kids can create little flags. For example, the American flag – you’ll need red, white, and blue construction paper, scissors, glue, and star stickers. Before the party, cut strips out of white and red construction paper and border out a square on the left-hand side of every blue piece of construction paper (that will be where the kids will put star stickers). At the party, the kids take a blue piece of construction paper and start gluing on red and white stripes onto the blue construction paper. They then take the star stickers and put them in the blue-assigned square on the left-hand side. Later, the kids can put their flags in their goody bags.

Bomb Detonation

This is a really fun and simple theme party game. Have lots of black balloons blown up, and in 30 seconds time all of the kids try and detonate as many bombs (balloons) as they could by squashing them in a seat.

Air Force Academy

Kids love folding paper into airplanes and flying them (so do adults!). Have the kids make paper airplanes and see whose plane flies the farthest by marking where each plane lands. At the party assign a table with color pencils, crayons, markers, etc. where kids can color paper and fold into paper airplanes. An adult can also help show how to fold different kinds of paper airplanes. A nice thing to do is call it an “Army Jet Mission” and have one of the adults be a “Captain” who gives a small speech about how important this army jet mission is… He/she should then explain the “mission” and procedure for creating the airplanes (it could be nice to have a blackboard so that the Captain can sketch on… if the Captain takes it seriously, the kids will too).

Jet-Pilot ID’s

If your kid’s theme party inclines towards an ‘Air Force Jet’ theme, the kids can create their own “Pilot ID’s”. For this you will need small pieces of card stock (you can create these the size of Driver License’s, which fit in a wallet). You can either photograph each child with a Polaroid or digital camera (or ask each child to bring a passport picture). If your child has a pilot suit, you can let each child wear it in turns and photograph them in the pilot suit.

An even easier idea is to let them wear a pilot’s hat, add some camouflage paint to their cheeks and just photograph their face wearing the hat. Glue the picture on the card and let the kids fill in the needed information: Name, Date-of-Birth, Female/Male, etc. On the top of the card write a title like “PILOT ID”, “CAPTAIN”, etc. To finish, laminate them (you can buy a laminator at most craft stores). You can also laminate by taking clear tape (the kind you use for packaging) – put a piece on the front of the card, then put another piece on the back of the card, and cut off the excess tape from all sides.

Homemade Army Birthday Cakes

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="5784" data-tags="6107" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com" >

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Military-themed birthday cakes.

A very simple theme party cake to make is the camouflage cake. Just back a regular cake (any shape) and cover cake with camouflage frosting (greens, browns, blacks, tan-color, etc.). Then take a few green plastic soldiers, tanks, tents, trucks, etc., wash them well, and put on top of the cake. Then when you light the candles on the cake, add a few sparkles to add to the excitement. This can also be done with cupcakes, just frost them in army colors and put a plastic soldier on each one.

Another simple and cool Army theme party idea is to make a target cake. Just make a simple circular cake, then completely frost with white frosting, and with a gel pen or thin frosting tip make consecutive circles inside the white circle (black circles and in the middle a red circle).

If you have an oval or 3-D ball pan, you can create a cool grenade cake. Just frost cake in dark green, and then with black icing draw a crosshatch pattern on the grenade.

Army Theme Party Food and Drink

Here are some ideas for Special Forces theme party food (make sure to put little decorated signs in the form of flags on each dish describing what each army-dish is):

Roasted hot-dogs on a stick

Mashed Potatoes

Miniature bombs (meatballs, falafel balls)

Parachutes (Broccoli)

Band-aid patches (ravioli with red sauce)

Corn on the cob grenades

Baked Beans

BB-Q Chicken

MRE’s – you can give your soldiers REAL arm food (MRE – which stands for ‘Meals Ready to Eat’, can be found at army surplus stores).

Tip: You can serve the meals in square tin pans just like how soldiers eat when they’re outside on duty.

Special Forces Theme Party Drinks:

Green Special Forces punch (green soda pop), and super charge it with pop rocks that’ll crackle, pop and split right before the kids’ amazed eyes.

Jet Fuel: this can be power drinks (like Gatorade) or punch.

Swamp Water: add some green food coloring to lemonade and for fun make ice cubes with ‘bugs’ in them (little black raisins) – just put them inside the water of the ice-tray and in the freezer – the raisins will freeze inside.

Tip: You can put punch in water guns to squirt in the kids mouth when they are doing all sorts of activities.

Special Forces Theme Party Treats:

Ammunition bites (peanuts, cashews and pistachios)

Dynamite (cut each red licorice into 4 or 5 equal pieces)

Cannon balls (grapes)

Power Bars

Vitamins (Skittles)

Shrapnel (Chex Mix)

Survival food worms (gummy worms)

Bombs (Whoppers and/or M&M’s)

Tip: You can put many of these treats in upside-down Special Forces helmets.

Here are a few space theme party packs for you to compare with.

Space Invitations

Here’s a cool idea for a space party invitation:

Find a picture of a Space Shuttle, trace it onto card stock or construction paper and cut Space Shuttle-shaped invitations. Draw some of the shuttle details like windows and the NASA logo. Here is what you can write: “Your presence is requested to launch (kid’s name) (*th) OUT OF THIS WORLD birthday party!!! Launch Date: (date), Launching site: (address), Lift-off time (time) and return to Earth (ending time – if there is one). RSVP to mother ship (phone #). It’ll be a BLAST!!”

Instead of Space Shuttles you can cut out stars, planets, aliens etc.

Here’s a similar but different variation for the wording: what you can write on the front of the invitation: ” 3… 2 … 1… Blast Off!!!” And here’s what you can write on the inside: “Please join us for an ‘Out Of This World’ party celebrating [child’s name] 6th Birthday! Blast off: Saturday, January 12, 2009. Count down begins at 1600 (4:00 p.m.) Space Station: (put your address here), R.S.V.P. to [child’s name] parental unit: Harry and Claire Mills (555) 555-5555 (put your phone number here)”.

You can also check out these printable space party invitations:

Space Decorations

It’s a great idea to designate a SPACE ROOM!

First you need to cover the windows with either black blankets or black plastic (like the gardening plastic used for flower beds). You can move the furniture away from the walls and cover them with white sheets for “moon rocks”. You will need a Black Light to create the Space effect and you can also use green bulbs for an eerie green glow throughout the house. It’s a nice touch to add Space-related birthday party signs. Here are two examples you can use (decorate your party area to resemble a space ship control station): “Launch Status Center” and “Control Station”.

You’ll need a whole bunch of inexpensive glow-in-the dark items to hang up in the SPACE room and to hand out to the little astronauts (the kids love’em!). Paint foam balls (using Glow-in-the-Dark Spray) and hang them from the ceiling with fishing wire so it looks like the planets are hanging in mid air. You can also paint rocks with the same glow-in-the-dark paint and disperse them throughout the space theme birthday party areas. A really cool idea is to shove glow sticks into green balloons. Then draw and alien face on each balloon with a permanent marker. Great as a space party decoration!

Next, cut out planets, moons and stars from fluorescent poster boards. Punch holes in the planets and hang them from the ceiling. You can make alien heads by blowing up green balloons and drawing black ovular circles for the eyes and two dots for the nose. Then attach these to tables and chairs.

For tablecloth, use scrunched-up aluminum foil to create a cool celestial look. You can also make flying saucers by stapling two plastic plates turned upside down and hang them from the ceiling as well.

The floors can be covered with an assortment of balloons. Silver and white balloons would probably fit best into the space theme birthday party. Put glow in the dark items inside the balloons for an awesome effect!

Costumes

It’s rather easy and fun to create a homemade Space costume for the birthday child. Take a look at these cool homemade Space costumes submitted by our visitors with photos and detailed how-to tips:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="6293" data-tags="7932" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com" >

Space Icebreaker Activities

When the kids arrive to your Space theme birthday party, have them prepare air packs (2 liter bottles taped together with duct tape straps). You can spray these with quick-drying silver spray paint. You can also have them decorate it with some color glow necklaces and other glow in the dark stickers to create an amazing effect in the Space room.

Here are a few more great theme birthday party ice-breaker activities:

A Space Snow Globe

Each kid gets a baby food jar (or any other little jar or clear water bottle for that matter). They then add star-shaped sequins, glitter, water, baby oil and blue food coloring – and VOILA – Space in their hands!! (Just to make sure, use hot glue to secure the tops so that all the space fluid doesn’t drain on your carpet…)

Flying Saucers

The kids can decorate Flying Saucers (made out of two paper plates turned upside down, stapled together and a clear plastic bowl fastened to the top) with markers, glitter and sparkly jewels. These can be used later towards the end of the theme birthday party (after the glue dries) in an outdoor contest to see whose flying saucer flies the farthest. You can also get a bunch of Frisbees, have them decorated and use them in one of the games below.

Space Coloring Pages

A great ice-breaker for all parties are Space coloring pages! You set a table with markers, crayons, or anything else the kids can paint with and let everyone color in Space coloring pages until all the guests arrive.

We’ve created a whole page full of free and original printable Space coloring pages, check them out!:

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="283" data-tags="379" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

Moon Rocks

Prepare a pail-full of rocks beforehand. Have the kids paint them with glow-in-the-dark-paint (or fluorescent paint). When the kids are busy at some other activity, hide them around the house and yard in preparation for the Moon Rock Hunt (as explained in the games section – link below). If you don’t have glow-in-the-dark paint you can always spray rocks with silver glitter or take aluminum foil and wrap it around foam balls or even little toys…

Aliens

Prepare a whole basket of craft materials (such as toilet paper tubes, yarn, eyes, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, glue, tape, etc.) and let the kids use their own imagination to create alien beings.

Alien GOO

To make the goo pour a one pound box of cornstarch, a cup and a half of cold water and a tablespoon of green food coloring in a big bowl. Then mix with your hands until the mixture is smooth. You can put a glob of alien goo in little plastic bags and give each kid one to play with (if the goo gets too dry, add a little more water).

Here’s the number so you can R S V P (phone #)”, Ta-Ta!!” You can also ask the ladies and gents to come in fancy play clothes or Sunday’s best.

Here’s another small little poem you use: “Tasty cakes, pretty clothes, dresses tied with ribbon. Lovely hats trimmed with bows, little dainty dishes. Cups completely filled with tea, Come and celebrate with me!!”

Tea Party Decorations

It’s lots of fun for the entire family to make your own tea birthday theme party decorations. Let’s get some crea”tea”ing done!

Decorate the walls, dressers and shelves with teapots, teacups or spoons on dressers and shelves.

Hang pastel-colored streamers and balloons from the ceiling and walls. Set the tables with a floral pattern tablecloth, linen tablecloth, or lace tablecloth. Spread sprigs of ivy and holly-berries, and decorate the tables, and if outside, any posts and fences with flowers (roses add an elegant feel).

If the party is in the evening (and the kids are old enough), sprinkle a few candles on the tables and around the yard and also light up the pathway (by filling up brown lunch bags with sand and sticking a candle inside). And top it off with a red carpet leading to the entrance.

If your backyard is big enough, an outdoor tea birthday party is lots of fun. Set up the tables under a tree or in a shady place (preferably next to a flowering garden). A big patio umbrella and background classical music is excellent for the overall “tea”mosphere.

Glue real flowers to a barrette to serve as napkin holders and place a few bells on the tables for the kids to ring whenever they’d like to call for their servers, a.k.a… YOU! ;-) Get dressed up (together with a few other brave parents or siblings) as waitresses and waiters with aprons and don’t forget to have a butler in a suit or tuxedo greeting the kids at the door. Make sure to call the girls “Madame”, “My Lady” and the boys “Sir” etc. while escorting each one personally to their place by the table (if you can speak in a British accent-all the better!!).

Once the children arrive, you can send them to the “dressing room” to get ready. The children can dress in Victorian Style clothes, they can dress in formal attire, or they can simple wear their Sunday Bests (you can try shopping for cheap clothes at thrift shops and put all kinds of dress-up clothes in a dress-up box). The point is to dress up in something that isn’t ordinary every-day attire. The kids can put their hair up in fancy hairstyles using ribbons, bows and curls. If you feel that they are old enough, let the girls put makeup and lipstick on for that lady-like feel.

Tea Party Icebreaker Activities

As the kids arrive to the tea birthday party, it’s always great to warm them up with a few fun activities that’ll also serve as part of the decorations. You can prepare these decorations ahead of time and enjoy a few fun-filled moments with your kids.

Handmade Jewelry

The kids’ll love to make their own jewelry. There a lots of necklace and bracelet activity sets, and you can also buy Fruit Loops and some string and have the kids adorn their necks with fruit loop necklaces.

Tea Party Coloring Pages

A great ice-breaker for all parties are Tea Party coloring pages! You set a table with markers, crayons, or anything else the kids can paint with and let everyone color in Tea Party coloring pages until all the guests arrive.

We’ve created a whole page full of free and original printable Tea Party coloring pages, check them out!

<div class="get-posts-by-tags"data-num="8" data-page="1" data-blank="true" data-category="283" data-tags="387" data-title="" data-source="https://www.coolest-free-printables.com" >

Decorative Fans

This activity will make a great party favor, and kids’ll have fun creating their own fancy fans! You’ll need crayons, markers, colored paper, glitter, possibly stickers and tape. Let the kids draw pretty pictures on one or both sides of the paper and then have them fold the paper accordion style and fasten one end with tape to create the handle. Gently spread out the other end for a beautiful personalized fan!

Cake Quilt

Bake a rectangular cake and cut it into many squares. Have each kid decorate their square with icing, sugar decorations etc. and then put all the squares back together to form a cake quilt (you’ll be surprised how nice these come out).

Makeover

Give the kids some lipstick, perfume, fingernail polish and other non-toxic makeup and let them go wild (even the boys will love this…). You can also let them soak cloths in hot water and lay them on their faces for a soothing experience before the makeovers. A digital camera is an absolute must for this one…

Paper Flowers Tea Party Activity

This is a really fun activity! As the kids arrive they can start making paper flowers for empty vases on the table (they are actually making the centerpieces for the party!). You can find directions for making origami flowers on the internet. You can use this cool origami-fun website, which has lots of great instructions and all kinds of different flowers to make.

Take a look at all the coolest homemade Tea birthday cakes.

Teapot-shaped cake: Use two 9″ round cakes and one round dome-shaped cake. Put the two 9″ cakes on top of each other (you can cut in a diagonal around the bottom to make it look like the teapot is slimmer around the bottom). Place the dome cake upside down on top of the lower two cakes so it serves as the lid (sounds confusing, but I’m sure you get the picture…). The spout and handle can be cut from foam core board (marzipan would also work). Then top off everything with vanilla frosting. Put icing swirls, frills, sugar roses, gumdrops etc. for the teapot decorations.

Table cake: Bake a cake in a 9×13 pan, and frost it to look like a long table with a tablecloth; you can also decorate this tablecloth with all kinds of little icing designs etc. Then set the “table” with little cups and saucers.

But still, my favorite is the cake quilt (as described above in the first-course activities…)

You can also create your own jumbo-sized tea bags. Just staple together two pieces of paper (or – if you’re up to it – sow together two pieces of white fabric, or hot glue corrugated paper, etc). Leave one side open and place the favors inside, close it up and add a string with a little square thank you note at its end. The perfect tea (favor) bag…

You can place inside all kinds of cool trinkets such as stickers, stationary, beads, stamps, lipstick, costume jewelry, hair accessories, compact mirrors, ring pops, candy bracelets, an lots of other tea-rrific stuff.

Here’s an awesome collection of Superhero theme kid party game ideas, perfect for throwing the coolest ever Superhero theme party.

Superhero Emblem Relay

Draw and cut out four Superhero emblems from posterboard (such as Superman diamonds). The emblems should be around 12″-15″ in diameter. To start playing this cool kid party game, divide the kids into two teams and establish a start and finish line. Give the first player of each team two emblems. The first kid in line needs to place an emblem in front of them and step on it. Then, they need to place the second emblem in front of the first and step from the first to the second, and like this, they continue around a designated point and return to their team so that they are only stepping on emblems. The next player in line must do the same, until each player on the team has had a turn. The team to finish first wins!

Fighter Jet Flight

Give each child a piece of paper to fold into a paper airplane. The kids can then decorate them to make Superhero fighter jets. Each child takes a turn launching them and the one which flies the furthest wins a prize.

Superhero Obstacle Course

For this kid party game, get your Superhero guests to save the world by going through an action hero obstacle course. Set up an obstacle course around your yard or inside your home using cardboard boxes, garbage cans, old tires, bicycles, ropes, sports equipment, logs, trampolines, basketball and hula hoops, chairs, pillows or anything you can find to create a challenging course. You can have challenges like ball throwing, long jump, balance beam walking, climbing, crawling through a tube, running faster than a speeding bullet, bouncing a super ball very high, jumping off a chair, leaping over tall buildings (sofas), etc. When the kids complete the course, have a prize ready and even a certificate saying that they have successfully completed Superhero training at one of the coolest Superhero kid birthday parties.

Save the People Kid Party Game

Blow up a bunch of balloons and draw faces on them. Evil faces for villains, and happy faces for the people. Have the children pop the villain balloons and gather up all the people balloons (saving them from the villains). They can’t just pop balloons like crazy, they have to see whether it’s a good guy or a bad guy.

Pass the Kryptonite

Just like “hot potato”, using a rock painted green (or another green object). Have the kids sit in a circle. Download the free Superman Theme Song, and play that as the kids pass around the kryptonite. When the music stops, whoever is holding the kryptonite is out. The last person left in the circle is the superhero of the game.

Superhero Dash

Place cut out posters of a different super hero in each corner of the room (four in total), ie: Iron Man, Batman ,Hulk ,Superman. Play music for the kids to dance too. When the music stops call out the name of a super hero the kids have to get to. The last kid to the hero is out. Keep playing until you have a winner, if there are lots of kids – play in teams so that it doesn’t go on for too long.

Hulk Pinata Smash

Have each kid take a turn wearing a hulk mask and hulk gloves. He/she has to smash the pinata with either his hulk hands or holding a stick. You could also do the same concept but be thor and use his hammer to hit the pinata.

Web Maze Superhero Birthday Game

Have everyone form a circle (facing one another). Then instruct the kids to extend their right hands into the ring and take a hold of someone else’s hand. After this tell them to do the same with their left hands and challenge them to untangle the “web” by stepping over or ducking under others, and turning around. Whatever the kids do, they mustn’t let go of one another’s hands until the web is completely untangled!

X-ray Vision Game

Put all kinds of items in a box and let the kids (who have something covering their eyes) identify them without sight, only touch or smell. This can get very funny when you put all kinds of silly things in the box, for instance if you put half of a tomato and you stick one of the kid’s fingers in it. Be creative, this can be one of the most hilarious kid party game ideas during your party.

Villain Tie-up Kid Party Game

For this kid party game, form two groups of kids. Bring in two evil villains (two grownups dressed up as villains) and have the kids catch the villains, sit them in a chair and “tie” them up with toilet paper (don’t forget to take pictures!)

Pin the Superhero on the…

There are lots of creative variations you can come up with for this kid party game. For instance, pin the “S” on Superman, pin Spiderman on the Web, pin the bat on Joker, etc

Kryptonite Toss

Take many buckets and cover them in tinfoil as if they were planets. The “kryptonite” are ping pong balls painted bright green. Have the kids throw the “kryptonite” into the “planets” and see how many they can throw in, every time throwing from a tougher distance.

Blast the Villain

Here’s a very popular and fun water game to play. First, you’ll need a few posters of evil villains (Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, Two Face, Mr. Freeze, etc.). You can also find pictures of villains on the internet and then have them blown up at any Kinkos. During the icebreaker activities let the kids color the villains and then laminate them with Con-Tact paper. Pin them up outside and let the kids go wild, blasting the evil villains with water balloons. This game usually brims over to an all out water balloon war during kid birthday parties, so be prepared.

Building Gotham City Hall

Hand out Superhero cards, give the kids 2-3 minutes and have them build a card tower (Gotham City Hall). The three tallest building-builders move on to the final round.

Joker Hunt

Here’s a fun kid party game idea for your Batman birthday party. Towards the end, tell the kids that the Joker has stolen their party favor bags and that they have to find them. Find old Joker playing cards to write the clues on and let the kids find the bags that you have hidden.

Web Hunt

Here’s a fun kid party game idea for a Spiderman party. Cut pieces of yarn (about 20-40 ft. long) and attach one end to the favor bag. Designate a Web area or room and hide the favors in drawers, cupboards, under chairs, etc. Slowly stretch each piece of yarn around the room, wrapping it around furniture and intertwining it with other pieces until you have used all the pieces. This will create a massive web!!! Then, attach the name of a guest to the end of each piece of yarn and when the kids find their names they may begin to unravel the spider web and hunt for their prize. (Make sure to prepare extra favors so that no guests are left empty handed).

Superheroes and Villains

Form two groups – Superheroes and Villains. Give the Superheroes cans of silly string spray and send them after the villains. Then switch so everyone has a chance to be the Superheroes.

Transforming Routine

Have an old suit, hat, and tie and form two teams. Then have each member dress and undress themselves the fastest while blindfolded. The team that wins is the one that each team member has finished dressing and undressing.

Catch the Villain Kid Party Game

(Submitted by Christina P. from Long Beach, CA)

Print 10 (or more if a lot of kids are playing) villains of any superhero and have them laminated. Next, write the name of the villains on separate index cards or pieces of paper. Tape the villain pictures to the ground in a circle (this can be played inside or outside). Have a child stand on one of the villains (there should be no extra villains) remove any extra villains. Have someone in charge of playing music, have the children walk in a circle stepping on one of the villains at all times; this game is kind of like musical chairs, when the person stops the music each child should be standing on one of the villains, pick one of your cards.

Whomever is on the villain that you picked is out and they remove their villain from the floor. So, for example, if you have a joker as a villain and you pick the joker card, you can say “batman defeated…” (give a short pause) “THE JOKER!” It’s fun to use different villains from one superhero, so when you say “Spiderman defeated….” it can make the children who are on Spiderman’s villains anxious and excited. When it’s down to two villains the person who isn’t on the villain that you call next is the winner. You can Google the name of the superhero villains (batman villains, superman’s villains) and a bunch pop up, just save the image and print. Than you can delete the image from your computer when finished.

This game was THE HUGEST HIT at my son’s party! The winner got a prize and after the kids wanted to play over and over again, in fact, they played till the party ended. So I am sure your child will love it! If you are playing this game with younger kids that may get upset to be “out” you can give a prize to the child standing on the villain that you call. That way everyone wins a prize, no one ever has to be “out” and they all get to play the whole time.You could change it a bit so that you have a variety of superheroes on the ground and when the music stops say “(villain) was defeated by (superhero)” and then give the child a little prize and they can sit down for having ‘won’ their battle.

My daughter Natalie loves Disney Princess’ so when it came time to plan her 4th Disney Princess Tea birthday party there was no doubt on what she wanted.

For our invitations we printed out a message in old english on some pink card stock. It read “You are cordially invited to attend a royal tea party with Belle, Snow White, and Cinderella at Natalie’s Castle. Please wear you finest princess and prince attire. I then added all the party information and RSVP”. Then we rolled them up and tied a ribbon around like a scroll. We hand delivered them to all her friends.

Princess Tea Birthday Party Decoration Ideas

For our decorations we put up a garden background which we purchased at Celebrate Express along with all of our paper supplies and a few other decorations. For our tea party we covered the table with a table cloth, runners, candleabras, and flower vases.

We even had chair covers on all the chairs to make it more formal. We had a few old sets of china and tea pots (you can easily find these at thrift stores to save money and for an older look). During the tea party all the kids sat around the table while our princess’ served them tea(punch) and cookies.

For our Disney Princess Tea birthday partyf ood and snacks we set up a separate table. As the centerpiece I took one of our old princess birthday bags and placed a vase of flowers inside it. We made small tea sandwiches. We chose kid friendly ones like pb&j, ham and cheese, and tuna salad. Then we used small heart cookie cutters to make them a little more unique. I made fruit kabobs with toothpicks with pink frill on one side. My friend made some of her famous chocolate covered pretzels in pink and blue to match the decor. Then had a few plates of Chex Party Mix served on silver platters (all found at the dollar store).

We had the 3 girls from our local high-school who came dressed in princess costumes. We had many different activities during the party. Also, we had face-painting and a bounce house set outside for the boys who came. Cinderella read all the kids a fairytale as we sat around the table waiting for lunch. After our tea party lunch all the princess taught the girls a special princess dance as we played music in the background from a Disney princess CD.

During dessert they crowned my daughter “Princess For a Day” and gave her a crown, wand, and glass slipper. She had the biggest smile on her face being the center of attention.

I made her a huge princess castle cake. The base was just a large rectangle decorated in green for grass and loads of flowers. I used ground up graham crackers for the path and put one of her princess carriage toys by the front door. The castle is rectangle and round cakes with cones for the pillars. I cut out the princess in windows from a game I found at the party store. It was the perfect addition to her party.

For our Disney Princess Tea birthday party favors I bought plastic princes cups that you can find in every party section. We filled them with glitter Easter filler, notepads, crayons, jewelry, bendy straws and candy. Then I slipped the whole cup into a plastic treat bag and tied with a ribbon.

Before all the kids left we took individual pictures of them with the princess’ in front of our flower backdrop. I found these awesome princess cards where you slide a picture in the front at the dollar store. I used these as our thank you cards and gave each of them their picture to remind them of this special day. Everyone had such a great time especially my daughter!!!

My daughter loved and still loves Yo Gabba Gabba. She wanted a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party for her second birthday. I ordered invitations that had my daughters picture uploaded into them as DJ Lance. I found these the cheapest on eBay. Then I photoshopped the picture of her as DJ Lance onto labels that said “Thanks for coming to my party!” for her goody bags.

I downloaded lots of printables and cutouts from the NickJr. site. When the kids first got there, I had a table setup with crayons and the printables for them to color.

I bought generic party hats and bags at the dollar store. I printed the characters from the NickJr. Site on heavy paper and glue gunned them on the party hats and bags for goody bags. I also used the cutouts for window and wall decorations.
I made eyes from all the characters on the computer and printed them out on labels. I then cut the labels out and stuck them on helium balloons of the characters color, i.e. – Brobie on green ballons, Foofa on pink, etc.
I bought labels and balloons at the dollar store.

Yo Gabba Gabba Decorations and Activities

I bought a cheap bean bag game at Toys r Us and covered it with green foam board. I then made a Brobie out of the foam board and glued it around the opening hole.

I used felt to make food to glue on the bean bags that came with the game for the “Yummy in My Tummy” Bean Bag Game.

I used a trifold project board that can stand up by itself and painted a Foofa picture from the website on it.

I cut out a hole for the children’s heads so that they could stick their heads through and have their picture taken. They loved having their picture taken in it and then I sent them a copy of the picture in the thank you notes.

I used poster board and painted a Muno. I then cut out numerous eyes and they played “Pin the Eye on Muno” game.

I put up my daughters little ball pit outdoors by our swingset and had all the games outside on the patio and in the yard. As they were all about 2 years old, I didn’t organize the activities, but let them play whichever ones they wanted when they wanted to.

We had pizza outside (the easiest and cheapest food!) and then went inside for cake and cupcakes.
As there are not many places that do Gabba cakes, I made individual cupcakes with Gabba cake toppers from eBay. I also placed 20 cupcakes together and iced them like cake with Muno for my daughter to blow out candles from.

The party was such a hit, that she wants the same party again!

We decorated the washing line with long branches from the garden, green streamers and lots of balloons. Animal face masks were hanged between the branches as if they were little animals hiding in trees. Kids had to try and find them and could then put them on.

We asked the local pet shop if we could “borrow” a live snake or 2. This caused a lot of fun and excitement!

We added posters of local snakes to the wall and even hide fake snakes strategically which caused a little hysteria from the moms!

Louw had a crocodile cake with “reeds” which we made by fixing a Marie-biscuit with icing to a ice-cream cone and hiding a surprise sweetie inside.

The kids got hampers filled with chips, animal-shaped biscuits, jelly snakes and marshmallow fish or mice.

Jungle Bites on the table consisted of both sweet and savory.

Sweet: Melt margarine and marshmallows and add Froot Loops / Coco Pops and Rice Krispies. Wait to cool before slicing.

Savory: Fresh bread slices spread with margarine and Mar-mite on both sides, sprinkled with grated Biltong and shaped with a cookie cutter
