23 November 2003 - Megan woke-up and I dressed her in a cute little "bee outfit" we hired for the day! She was the most adorable little bee! Here she is:
I decided to have the bee theme as this was the theme of her room when she was born.
We all went to an indoor playground where the staff decorated the playroom in bees. As you see in the picture there is a white picket fence, and loads of yellow balloons with bee pictures on them (it's cute to have these floating balloons with bee pics on them because it looks like a swarm of bees).
We had a "bee cake" baked and the party packs were all wrapped in yellow bee color see-through wrapping paper. On the bee cake, notice how the bees antenna were made easily using black pipe cleaners swirled up, the fact that the cake was on a bee tablecover also added a nice touch to the setting:
There were balloons, party toys and lunch was served (hotdogs or toasted cheese, etc). As you see the tables were covered with yellow table-covers and we had bee pictures everywhere.
Every parent who came and collected their children agreed that the bee party was lots of fun - the children all enjoyed the playground, toys and food, it was a great success!
