Coolest Tinkerbell Neverland Birthday Party for a 4 Year Old Girl
Tinkerbell Fairy Cake
I believe that a child's birthday party should be something special and memorable so I always try to plan something great for my girls. Immediately after my daughter's 3rd birthday party ended, Megan announced she wanted a Tinkerbell party for when she turned 4. Needless to say, I've had a lot of time to plan this year's party!
I decided to go with a Tinkerbell and Neverland theme to make it easier to find themed items for the treat bags. Throughout the year I was able to buy lots of items at clearance at places like Target, AC Moore, and Michaels. For the boys, I went with a pirate and Peter Pan theme- some pirate hooks and Peter Pan books found at the Dollar Store, pirate bandanas and tattoos, a wooden pirate ship art project, and little wind up crocodiles. I also purchased foam pirate hats and green foam cone hats that I turned into Peter Pan hats.
The girls received custom painted fairy wings ($3.99 for 6 cardboard wings found at Michaels), Tinkerbell art projects, crayons, foam fairies to make a picture frame, and a few other Disney fairies items. The fairy wings were a huge hit, seeing my daughter and her friends flitter around the place showing everyone their wings was adorable!
The birthday girl received a special surprise - I had a custom shirt created that said Megan 4 with Tinkerbell's face.
I had it matched to a skirt she wanted to wear for the party. She looked very cute and very much like a little fairy princess for her party.
For the party itself, we rented our local YMCA. They have an indoor play area shaped like a tree, perfect for the children to feel like they were fairy sized, trampolines to bounce around, and they also set up a large moonbounce in the gym.
Kids of all ages were able to enjoy themselves and there was plenty of room for them to run around and have a blast. An added bonus to this venue is that they have some video game stations and games for the parents to enjoy while their kids played!
The real show stopper to this party was the cake. I made it myself, with a little help from the birthday girl.
We created our own vision of Pixie Hollow, complete with Tinkerbell's Teapot House perched on a tree stump, and fondant versions of the fairies animal friends. All the kids, and parents, raved about how great the cake turned out. My daughter walked around proudly announcing how she helped make the flowers on the cake, it was so cute!
This party was a lot of fun and I can't wait until next year (we've already started planning that one too!)
